Hypothyroidism and wheat bran
With hypothyroidism goes constipation. I have relieved this with "Allbran" and prunes but I am learning that bran is not a good idea if one's hypo. What is the problem with bran and are there any research papers on the subject?

I don't know whether I have an eating disorder?
Hi, I'm new here. So I am an underweight 18 year old currently in university. I don't know whether it is anxiety or low self-esteem, but I don't eat very much. Perhaps one meal a day, if anything. I just see eating as a chore, as something I need to do in order to have energy to read. I have been saying

I think it clicked today! - From one extreme to another?
I had a bit of an experience today. I hate shopping for clothes, I always did - I guess it's not something "bigger people" enjoy as nothing ever fits the way it should or one simply resembles a sausage rather than a person. As I have mentioned to moreless the other week, I don't see myself having changed

I'm new here
Just been told I have pre diabetes but I'm confused about what I can eat. The GI diet was recommended but it confuses me. All bran has a low GI but All bran has high sugar, whereas Weetabix is medium GI but has lower sugar. Also any tips on losing weight?

Advice please?xx
Hi. I think I have anorexia and bulimia but I'm scared to tell anyone. My friends know because they see me bin my lunch and they see me run to to the toilet after I've eaten. They've even see me faint a few times at school. But I don't want to tell people. I'm worried they'll judge me or think that I'm

Yummy Lunch
As I have been having varieties of this lately I thought I'd share it properly. This pan full of stuff is a 60g (dry weight) portion of wholewheat fusilli, a courgette, some asparagus spears and 100g of jumbo king prawns covered in "Sacla" red pepper pesto. The courgette and asparagus were roasted in

Beef Sling-It !
I was looking what I had in my veg rack and cupboards and made a beef sling-it (chuck everything you in). I softened a chopped onion in a tiny bit of olive oil, added 2 chopped carrots, 2 sticks celery chopped, 1 parsnip in chunks, half swede in chunks, 1 grated courgette, and sweated them for 5 mins
