New me
Hi. I'm a 60 year old woman and am truly determined (this time!) to lose weight. My husband has had cancer and beat it twice, exactly 10 years apart. I want to be able to do more things with him. This weight embarrasses me AND restricts me. I make so many excuses not to do things, when deep down I yearn

Daily recovery from the lifelong battle of Anorexia
I joined this wonderful group 2 months ago. I have shared my journey to recovery. I am 56 and suffered 40 years with Anorexia. I still suffer from PTSD. I take medication and continue therapy as well. I have recovered in the last six years of treatment. I often wondered why I still fight against the

ANOREXIA NERVOSA-MY JOURNEY TO RECOVERY
Now, that Christmas is over the anxious feeling has gone away. I know this is normal so I AM GOOD. THANK YOU FOR THIS SUPPORT GROUP. I love helping others so I stay on the website to encourage them. It is good for me too. It reassures my Anorexia that I am in full control of it now after my recent recovery

Hi, I'm a binge eater
Hi all. I'm new to this group. I read a couple posts and think I found a place that understands me. I've been binge eating since I was 3 or 4 yrs old. It got worse as I got older. I'm 44 and at least 130 lbs overweight. It hurts on all levels. I have other issues but it's hard to work on them being so

Excessive sweating
Another issue I have is
excessive
sweating
.. Don't believe it to be
hyperhidrosis
as it really only occurs with any physical activity ( I muck out my horses every day and every day is the same i.e head neck breasts back are soaked not feet or hands regardless of the weather ) house work etc etc .

Hi, I have struggled with my weight and eating disorder since my childhood. Now I am 26 years old, happily married, have two beautiful kids but still my binge eating problem is always with me. Last year I managed to lose few stones, I felt fab, but I couldn't stick to it for long, it all crept back to

Not looking forward to cooking everyone's dinner at Christmas, just looking forward to opening prezzi's No calories in them. Ha ha.
Well we have 6 people here for Christmas dinner, everyone is slim except of course me, so I have ordered M&S ready prepared food to pick up Christmas Eve, so there is virtually no prep, (trying to avoid snacking and picking) ordered most things I don't particularly like, (then I won't be tempted to eat

*Trigger Warning* Are there signs of an Eating Disorder?
I started looking at myself in mirror and I began to see a ton of features I hate about myself. I keep thinking I’m fat and overweight and ecently have been starving myself because I don’t want to eat anything in fear that I will gain weight. I also have been conscious of my calorie intake and have been

Just took a big step!
I am anorexic, and in recovery. I’m currently at a weight gain plateau, and although the doctors want me to gain a little more, as I’m still underweight, I am no longer in a critical state in which weight gain is necessary to live, so yeah, that’s nice. But that’s not what I wanted to post about. Not

Question about Claire Weakes
So I’v been trying to use Claire Weakes acceptance technique over the last few weeks. I feel it’s working ok but I’m not sure if I’m doing it right or understanding her correctly. Does she mean to accept the sensitization and symptoms of panic without fear or is it ok to still be absolutely petrified

Gagging when Excited - anyone else?
I've been reading about people having gag reflexes when they're nervous or scared, but I'm having them when I'm excited. No one else (I know) suffers from this, and the doctor also said to have a gag reflex when one is excited isn't normal. Anyone else who can help me with this? I've already threw up

Hi, I’m a newbie!
Hello everyone, I’m sliverofsilver, a recovering anorexic. I do hope I’m welcome here with the condition I have, but if not, that’s totally okay. But if I am welcome here, I solemnly swear that I will not promote eating disorders, unhealthy eating habits or behaviour, or any of that absolutely murderous

Food no longer appeals to me.
Hey, so I have anorexia. It’s always been a battle with myself to keep control and to not eat. But now, it’s not a battle any more. I don’t want to eat. Of course, one reason is that I’m afraid it will make me gain weight and make me fat, but another reason, that’s only just developed a few days ago,
