Naturopath 1st Visit
I went to see a Naturopath Doctor today for the first time. I had an hour and a half long appt. I don't know a lot about this branch of care but I definitely prefer the natural route, then more pharmaceuticals. This is a new learning experience for me. She took time to fully explain what she does.

Rituximab vs abatacept-- After Enbrel fails
I (and my rheumatologist) suspect that Enbrel has stopped working for me. She suggested changing to rituximab or abatacept. Anyone here have experience with this change? Did you have good results?

Over night life change
In 1990 my husband and I worked out at the Gym as we did 3 nights a week, then we went to Shoneys and ate from their salad bar! The next morning around 4:am, I woke up with excruciating pain in my right hand a wrist! I was office manager for a medical billing office! I went to work and called my Dr

Does anybody here have RA and Lupus?
Hi I have RA and Lupus, anti CCP 92, anti D's DNA positive, and ANA Homogenous 360. Oddly inflammation markers always normal, always (oddly Anyone else???) It seemed every major RA drug I try, my lupus don't like it and I end up with more joint pain. I have tried Humira, Enbrel ( which I later learned

Hands up who has been happy with Healthcare at home/HAH?
So far I am happy with HAH, I started getting the delivery of meds last year. Before this I used to pick up from the hospital. Reason being that apparently they were asleep on the job and took either the wrong meds to ppl or no meds at all. So the NHS(least in my area)showed them the door! What has

RA & Crohn's (cross posted)
Changed Diet - 6 week mark (Crohn's and RA) About 6 weeks ago, I drastically changed my diet, in an effort to try to limit my Crohn's symptoms. My diet is very limited, basically I eat meat (chicken and fish) some fruits and some vegetables. I buy organic when I can, and eat non GMO foods/gluten free

Benapali problems
Hi, my son has juvenile arthritis and was having Enbrel injections but has reently been put onto Benapli instead. It has been 3 weeks since the change and he is complaining of his fatigue returning and multiple joints aching and swelling. He was well for nearly 2 years on Enbrel and I am sure that

Benepali, nocebo, or plain no-good?
Hi rheumy family! So what do you think? For any unfamiliar with the meaning of nocebo the wiki meaning is under here! "Nocebo. The nocebo effect is when a negative expectation of a phenomenon causes it to have a more negative effect than it otherwise would. ... Both placebo and nocebo effects are presumably

Enbrel
I have been on Enbrel (Etanercept) for about 18months and to me it has been a wonder drug but I am now being told by my NHS that I have to switch to the new cheaper option of "a Biosimilar" being produced in England. Has anyone used one or has any information about it please!

In light of helixhelix post..can anyone offer insight on how to take better control of our future health within the NHS?
Hi all, helixhelix thank you for flagging this up. It chimed into how out of control I have been feeling re my own health situ being an NHS patient. I was ticking along nicely on Enbrel for AS until a letter from up above landed on the doormat. It said your being switched to Benepali, and without any

Rock bottom: any ideas?
Hi I'm new here. So, first of all, apologies for a long and depressing post! A little about me: I'm 35, have had seronegative RA since my early 20s. No kids, but a lively dog. Have tried many meds: methotrexate, sulfasalzine, plaquenil, humira, enbrel and orencia - with no real improvement. Just horrible

I like many, was switched to Benepali in Feb 2017, after almost 4 years on Enbrel for my AS condition(I'm a 50yr female btw). I was shifted just via a letter saying this is happening, end of! Enbrel worked like a dream

Exhausted!
Hello everyone! I just took my third Enbrel shot on Friday and I can't say I've noticed any big improvements, but I know it can take 3 months to see if it's working, so I guess that's pretty common. I've been so exhausted the last couple of weeks. I think the steroid shot I got last month has finally

I 'weened' myself off ivf drugs as my cycle was cancelled - didn't want to stop suddenly. Now I haven't had a bleed in 4 days.
I was on 3 weeks of
Evorel
patches x3, and as my scan was looking good I was advised to start cyclogest pessaries and Lubion (projesterone injection daily) which I took for 3 days?

Too sore to sleep
Hello all, it's 4 am here and I am awake from the pain and exhausted, but hurting too much to fall back to sleep. We have had thunderstorms for several days in a row and my pain seems to be peaking right now. I can barely keep my eyes open, but can't sleep. So irritating! I started Enbrel almost 3 weeks
