Advice re the pill and endometriosis and fibroids
Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice or has been in a similar situation before. I had major surgery to remove endometriosis from the bladder and surrounding areas in 2015. After the surgery my consultant advised I start and stay on the pill to manage recurrence of endometriosis

Desogestrel back and leg pain
Hi Everyone, I've started taking desogestrel as treatment for endometriomas and fibroids. I've only been taking it for a couple of weeks but I'm getting terrible back and leg pain every morning. It wears off a bit during the day but comes back in the evening. Also I'm having to get up every night

Diagnostic laparoscopy on Friday
The date is getting closer but the pain is much much worse. I finally was told that I had a cyst on my left ovary a month after having my ultrasound scans, and also after being given the date for my laparoscopy. I recently had to go back to taking desogestrel as I had ran out of the new one and with

Heavy bleeding and agonising joint pain on desogestrel???
I recently posted on here asking about experiences with desogestrel. Just days after starting it I began bleeding heavily with cramps worse than usual keeping me up all night and I've been waking up with agonising pain in my right knee/hip joint that spreads throughout my leg. Has anyone else had this

EXPERIENCES WITH DESOGESTREL????
Hello, I’ve just been put on desogestrel after having endo removed laparoscopically with the doctor hoping that it will completely stop my bleeding due to excessively heavy bleeding which we haven’t yet manage to control successfully. I’m 18 so things like ablation/hysterectomy isn’t really appropriate

Hi ladies. I've been een diagnosed with endometriosis through laparscorpy surgery last Nov. Three weeks ago for went for a ultrasound scan , it showed that endometriosis is growing back again. At the moment it's 1cm to 2cm. I've been advised to go on the desogestrel mini pill for three months trial

How do you know it's adeno flare not something else? So much pain!
Hello ladies....hope you're not suffering too much today. 💕 My question is - how do you know it's an adeno flare and not something else? (I'm a wee bit scared right now). I'm on day 7 of my period - still bleeding bright red blood, medium to light in flow, but that's not overly unusual. My back pain

Can Mirena work if desogestrel doesn’t?
Hi, I’m new to this group and hoping for any advice please. I’ve been diagnosed with Adenomyosis (by ultrasound) but not Endometriosis as they say I won’t have a diagnosis without laparoscopy. I’ve been on Desogestrel for over two years which has definitely helped with the pain but the bleeding is still

Extremely depressed on Desogestrel
Been on it for almost a week, and never been so depressed (already have depression) but this is something else. Been put on it cause my nurse thought I'd get blood cloth as I have high blood pressure. I'm 31 ffs! Does it get better or am I just going to be so depressed?

Laparoscopy or treating endo non-surgical ways?
Hi everyone, Just writing for a bit of advice please. I am 19 years old and got diagnosed in February via MRI scan (Private). I was previously on the desogestrel pill for 2 years and then had the coil fitted in March 2021 to hopefully reduce the constant bleeding and pain. This helped the bleeding

Bleeding on Desogestrel. Had enough now!
So I've been on Desogestrel since May to control/stop my erratic and heavy bleeding. It's done an okay job, I've had small bleeds here & there which I've put down to the fact I'm a nightmare for taking it at the same time every day. And I have missed a few days here and there. However, this morning

Ovaries are stuck back- feeling down
Hi ladies, I'm having a bit of a pitty party today. Last October I had a lap and diagnosed stage 4 endo with bowel involvement. My surgeon said he freed everything he could, including my ovaries which were badly stuck. Yesterday I had an internal scan to check Mirena position and I was told my ovaries
