Unmetabolized Estrogen (Depurinated Adducts) How I got PCa and how to prevent and detect it.
This results in the accumulation of bioactive estrogen (
estradiol
) in androgen refractory cells.
Meanwhile, androgen-sensitive cells show a predominance of oxidized estrogens such as estrone (36).

E2 Patch
My MO won't even discuss
estradiol
(e2 patch), as an option. My question is this, Is he taking the "Standard Of Care" a little too far by not entertaining options that may be more beneficial to my overall health and QOL?

Hello, I have a GP appointment in about an hour and it's to discuss having a blood test that has been ordered by a private endocrinologist. SHBG test through Medichecks?
I'm set with an appointment with a menopause clinic in a couple of weeks for an HRT consult and noticed that their charges for some of the tests were quite a bit higher than Medichecks, and they are running a 20% off sale that ends tonight. I've had my thyroid tests done with them already, so I believe

some advice whilst on Estradiol!
Due to have a FET W/C 6th March and the clinic have put me on
estradiol
. You’re meant to start this on your first day of period but Iv found that my period is like really light, very light brown which normally 3 days in I would be bleeding pink/red. Is this normal?

Progynova blues
I'm on day 8 of progynova
estradiol
tablets (3 x 2mg daily) for a modified frozen cycle and feeling..... meh. I've been feeling ok apart from a few headaches but yesterday the blues hit hard and I just feel so disconnected and like I don't care about anything.

Female and thyroid hormones
Hi all, I wonder if someone can help me figure something out. After my youngest was born 5.5 years ago my periods didn't come back for 2 years, due to extended breastfeeding. Since they returned they haven't ever regularised with cycle length varying each time. Over the 18 months or so my periods

Estrogen Receptors
For ERα to drive progression,
estradiol
[E2] is clearly important. The AR is important too - growth will not occur if there is no testosterone. PCa cells that have ERα, can create the
estradiol
needed to activate it - from testosterone, via the aromatase enzyme.

Nails!
My nails are really deteriorating, soft, bendy, peeling. They’ve been poor for ages but this is much worse. Nothing topical is helping. I’m on 75 mcgs levothyroxine and my TSH levels are good - and on 0.01 % estriol cream for dryness. Could it be that which is making the difference, although I was

Bone Density - Dexa
With DES, my
estradiol
[E2] is <5 pg/mL (the lowest that LabCorp measures. At <8 pg/mL, bone loss would normally be rapid. Conclusions: Having been tested after 2 months of castrate T, I can safely say that T itself is not required for bone health.
