*Sensitive* 12 IVF Later...

As some of you may know the IVF road has been nothing but a rollercoaster, we have had 12 IVF total , 1 positive , 1 miscarriage and 9 Failed Transfers. We finally got out BFP!!!!! we are so excited but I would be lying if I would say there's no fear.

im going to include some details that I hope mite be helpful to others with a similar case to mine.

I have a history of Adenomyosis and endometriosis and poor egg quality. only one ovary functions due to a previous surgery I had for my endometriosis.

every time I chanced clinic the doctors tried new protocols and a different approach but what we discovered a while back is that low stims works much better on my body,

Also allot of the ladies recommended we get treated for NK cells and to do the , ERA,EMMa,Alice which I think was helpful as well on my last transfer. as I had an infection that I got treated for with Metronidazole.

the last IVF we lowered the meds, we got 9 eggs all fertilized. our hopes were so high but only 1 remained til the end for freezing, we sent it for PGT testing it came back euploid and survived thawing and lead to our BFP. my doctor put me on a immune protocol (prednisone) and lovenox (blood thinners) and progesterone in Oil as well as estradiol after transfer.

its still very early but im praying this is it for us as things are looking good.

what I really believe made a difference was a frozen transfer, all my others transfers were Fresh and each time I felt my body was never ready and never recovered before my transfer.

the cycle I got a BFP and miscarried was also a frozen transfer, after talking to several doctors they mentioned the resent research shows if you do suffer from endometriosis a frozen transfer is leading to better outcome.

I can't thank everyone enough for all the support and all the shoulder and ears I had when everything seems so dark. but I believe if u don't give up u will get there.

everyone of you is in my prayers and I hope you all get you BFP and it will all be worth it..

Huge congratulations!!

Your story sounds similar to mine. We’ve been trying to conceive naturally then with ivf for 10 years. In the last couple of years we’ve moved to donor eggs and have had some success albeit no child as yet. We had a blighted ovum which I needed surgery for and an early miscarriage. We are due to start another cycle with a new donor very soon. I’m taking the same meds as you. Out of interest have you been administering the progesterone in Oil into your thigh or the muscle at the top of your bottom? Last cycle I used alternate thighs but I wonder if it makes a difference. I did read it can be a slower distribution if you use the muscle on the top part of the bottom. I’m just wondering if it would be hard to administer yourself?! The thigh injection wasn’t the nicest thing in the world but needs must, I will do it again but would be interested how you found administering them?

Take care

Jules

fingers crossed for you i hope next cycle is the ONe for u. Iv been doing them in ny buttox . Im having my husband do them for me lol and i found it much easier and less painful when u stand up and dont lean on the leg (side) your doing the shot on. Keep that leg relaxed.
