Progynova blues

I'm on day 8 of progynova estradiol tablets (3 x 2mg daily) for a modified frozen cycle and feeling..... meh. I've been feeling ok apart from a few headaches but yesterday the blues hit hard and I just feel so disconnected and like I don't care about anything. I have been feeling so bored and unmotivated at work that I'm beginning to think I need to look for a new job or set some new goals or have a new challenge.... but I'm trying not to make any big decisions or make any big changes in case it's just the drugs! Anyone else have weird mood changes on progynova? I have a scan on Friday to see how my lining is looking so fingers crossed I can start progesterone soon which might help balance out my hormones/mood a little?

Any hormonal medication can effect your mood so just take it easy - a day at a time Hope scan goes well on Friday

I felt so weird for the first week or two. Wired as if I'd drunk gallons of coffee. Definitely don't make any decisions right now! The good news is that for me at least the symptoms settled down after a couple of weeks xx

totally! I was just reading a book and my hand started shaking as if I’ve drunk 18 espressos! Also feeling super dizzy today. This too shall pass! Xx

I’m on day 9 of progynova and estrodial patches and I’m feeling tearful and emotional. 😢 never know the effect of these hormones. Will be adding progesterone next week sometime - oh the joys of IVF!

Oh sorry to hear that. I seem to have levelled out again in the past few days which is a relief but the headaches are back. Had my scan today and lining is fine but they couldn't find a slot for the transfer until the 20th so still have another 10 days to go

Sorry to hear about the time delay, 🤞🏽 for a positive outcome. I’m doing a mock cycle this time as going for the ERA/Emma/Alice test. My scan is on Monday so hope all ok to push ahead. I’ve had one failed FET, so hoping these test results help for the 2 transfer, which I hope will follow in April 🤞🏽

Progynova is the devil’s juice 😂😂. I’ve been on it a few times and on it at the moment and I’ve been feeling truly dreadful after feeling very upbeat. Go easy with yourself and hope you can ride it out.

hi there. I hope you are feeling a little better. I literally just searched ‘progynova side effects’ on this site as I have been feeling awful last 2 days. Hoping it will pass…I’m on day 9 of progynova with my final scan on Thursday and hopefully transfer next week.

hey oh sorry you’ve been feeling awful. I’m still on it and feeling muuuuch better which is a relief. I start on progesterone tomorrow and have my transfer on Monday. Really hope you start to feel much better soon! Xx

A bit late to the thread, I hope you are feeling much better. I've had a very similar experience on progynova. About 8 days in I turned into a complete emotional wreck for a couple of days..my poor husband took the brunt of it! The constant reflux and nausea didn't help either, however, when I started on the progesterone I felt much better. Sending love and best wishes for your transfer xx
