My mum has been on Niraparib for 6 months. She has had very few side effects except a bad back that lasted a few weeks.
Over the last month or two she has been experiencing an achey shoulder which seems to ease with stretching. She’s not sure if it’s the muscle or the joint as sometimes her wrist will ache too and other parts of the arm. It might be worth noting that this is the arm she received all of her chemo in.
She is otherwise feeling great and excercises daily as well as works full time.
I was wondering if it is her joints, whether it is worth taking an antihistamine, or if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

Hi, I am on Niraparib and also ache a bit. I also get headaches. My advice is to speak to your oncologist. It may be the dosage, it may be the Niraparib or it may be something else. With me I also take Apixaban and after a long chat I actually had my Apixaban prescription changed. Good luck to you mum xxx
