PICC line insertion
I am having a PICC line inserted before my next chemotherapy but have received no information about it. Can I ask ladies here a few questions? Will I be able to drive myself home afterwards? 40 min drive. Roughly how long does the procedure take? Thanks x

Chemo for recurrence easier?
I'll be having carbo/taxol chemo for my first recurrence, which is the same chemo I had initially. I was wondering if those of you who have been through it found the second go-round easier, harder, or different from the first. Thanks for sharing your experience. It really helps.

Jevtana (Cabazitaxel) before Xofigo (Radium 223)
Hi I was speaking to an Oncology nurse last week who suggested that after Docetaxel, Oncolgists were inclined to prescribe Jevtana before Xofigo. This apparently is because it is less effective the other way round. I have to say my instinct was to try radiotherapy before going back to chemo. The Docetaxel

Have now completed 4 of 6 Docetaxel/Carboplatin treatments and went to Mayo in Rochester for PSMA Pet scan (Ga-68, see results below). Getting Xeloda delivered Wednesday
Yesterday I got a phone call from a specialty pharmacist who will be sending my first round of Xeloda out on Monday. She had questions for me and told me I will be on a 3 week schedule, 2 weeks taking Xeloda twice a day and then 1 week off. They will phone me to see how I am doing and then send me

QoL and personal decision-making
I came across this article, which was published in a general interest magazine, written by a noted researcher in Medical Ethics who is also a long time practicing oncologist. The title given to the article was the publication's and the author made pains in an interview to say it is somewhat misleading

Docetaxil first, then Pluvicto or Pluvicto first
Zytiga failed and Dr Milowsky, my MO at Lineberger Cancer Ctr recommends I go on chemotherapy first and if or when that fails, go to Pluvicto. Dr Almaguel, a nuclear radiologist, who is doing trials for Pluvicto which I did not qualify for, having crossed over to Xtandi, recommends Pluvicto without

3rd surgery
Hi everyone, I am 3c low grade and happy to say after debulking and 1 round of chemo last year, I was Ned. I have had a small nodule underneath one of my laparoscopy scars so going back in on Monday for it to be taken away. I know this is a much smaller op than the other two and I shouldn’t be worrying

Apalutamide (Erleada) Only Lasted 6-7 Months! What Next?
After being on Apalutamide, Lupron, & Xgeva, since April of 2022, & PSA drop from 7.3 (extensive bone mets.) & a drop to 0.1 (for 2 mons.), PSA rose to 0.6 over 3 mon. w/o lab work because doing so well. So, don't know exactly when it started to rise but the rate of increase is geometric! MO wanted

Just checking to be sure 6 month break after 5 week radiation treatment is the next best step?
I hope everyone here is finding success and positive moments in this journey as we make our way through this new year ♥️ Hoping to ask for an opinion here just to do my part in making sure my dad gets the best shot at success with this. I will be updating my BIO again this week for anyone with a similar

I have had SBRT (2007), Chemotherapy (2010/2011), ADT using Casodex/Lupron/Zytiga (2012-Current). How long off Olaporib before starting Carbo/Caelyx for a recurrence?
I have just got off the phone to my oncologist who, after having put me on 8 weekly scans for a recurrence for a few months now, has said its time to come off my Avastin/Olaporib combination of maintenance and onto Carbo/Caelyx. Not great to hear, but I've known its coming sometime. Its slowly coming

He had his last chemotherapy round at the beginning of December and will start radiotherapy beginning of February but I am really concerned about his chest. 4-th line of chemo
Hello brave ladies. I would appreciate your experience concerning chemo protocol: Gemzar+ Oxaliplatine. Unefortunately and despite the inhibitor PARP (NIraparib) taken from 7 weeks now, my marker goes up rapidly and I will be facing the 4-th round of chemo called "gemox". At the same time I've developped
