Still struggling with what type of epilepsy my 9year old son has!
He started on
Epilim
, but 2 months later, his hallicinations increased and he started with "black" things (he lost vision for about 30 secs and felt like he was in an earthquake). Also had a few seizures where his arm would twich followed by a state of slight disorientation - for about 20mins.

Hi, my 7 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with silent or Rolandic epilepsy and ADD. Does anyone else have a child with this?
She is on 200mg
Epilim
every 12 hours, but how soon can we expect to see improvement in her concentration. And why does my child not display the characteristics of Rolandic epilepsy like tingling sensation in mouth, drooling and facial paralyses?

Peti-mal/Absence Seizures
He has been on
Epilim
(250mg twice a day ) for a week and there has been a dramatic improvement in his concentration, work completion and anxiety. He has been feeling a bit tired on the
Epilim
but we are hopeful that his body adjusts to it.

My second child is nearly due so it's time to reflect on my PP and hope it doesn't happen again.
I was prescribed
Epilim
(Sodium Valporate) and Seriqual (Quetiapine) which were not their preferred meds but I wished to continue to breastfeed so these were the suggested meds to reduce the risks to my son.

Anticonvulsants such as
epilim
, tegretol and other medications used to treat epilepsy may exacerbate the effects of alcohol and recreational drugs and thus lead to serious intoxication and crippling of the body.

I've been diagnosed with epilepsy 12 months ago and was put on
epilim
chrono. I've had 3 or 4 seizures since and I am wondering if the tablets are suiting me. Also can I travel alone if I have a medical bracelet on?

Epilim (sodium valproate) - wrecks havoc with thyroid?
I've been taking both
Epilim
(sodium valproate) and Tegretol (carbamazepine) for about 20+ years. I read a medical paper sometime ago that mentioned
Epilim
can disrupt the thyroid functions.
