Best alternative PET for PSMA negative PCa
Asking for a friend. He was diagnosed 3 years ago with high risk high volume (Gleason 3+5) PCa. Treated with EBRT + LDRBT + ADT (18 months). His PSA was undetectable but is now rising (3+) but PSMA-PET was negative, even in the prostate - implying PSMA non-avid cancer. What would be the best non-PSMA

ADT failure
We saw my Dad's MO on 5/23. Over the course of 4 weeks my dad's PSA moved from 1.46 to 2.14, He said we need to be on Zytiga for three months before we can deem it a failure, but just like Xtandi, it appears my dad had limited help with it. We have talked about the next steps, chemo and pluvicto. My

Hypogonadism, heat flushing, and testosterone replacement
Hi all, It is almost a year since I had my external beam radiation for Gleason 7 (3+4) PCa (see my profile). So far so good: 4 PSA tests were reassuringly low. I am now almost 82 and I am hoping to deal with my strange heat-flushing problem, which I have had for several years. It predates my cancer

Centrum is advertising a number of products that reduce hot flashes in post menopausal women. Are any of these effective for those of us on ADT ?

How is the second generation ADT like xtandi , zytiga etc decided ?
What determines which second line ADT will be given to whom ? I see there is zytiga , xtandi , nubeqa and others. Is it just left to the MO to decide ?

Hip Replacement
Has anyone had hip replacement surgery with a pacemaker. I have already had a hip replaced but that was before being diagnosed with Heart Failure and having a pacemaker. Just wondered if it is possible as I was told I would probably need the other hip replaced at some point. I have just started having

How do I gradually run faster, what’s best?
I need to go to go out & do Wk 8 Run 2 this morning & prevaricating (but will do it) …. I’m an exceptionally slow runner and run 1 on Wednesday felt rubbish, so was good to read about Toxic 10 & Tomato Ten in someone else’s post as I do have these! (And in swimming too!) I want to run gradually faster

apalutamide vs. abiraterone
My husband has been recommended ADT + abiraterone + prednisone for two years. My friend who is an oncologist suggested apalutamide instead as it doesn't need to be supplements with prednisone and has less side effects. Wanted your opinion.

Dad 2nd BCR. Advice needed...
After a very late salvage radiation + 1 year Lupron. He has been off ADT for 1 year when PSA began to rise again. From 0.01 to 0.03 in less than 2 months then 0.05 after another 3 months. Is this indicative of an aggressive progression and metastasis? The oncologist said that the doubling time is not

I’m recurrent in prostate bed with three negative PSMA PET scans and essentially unchanged size of enhancing nodule over 18 months on three MRIs DUT and FIN began when PSA reached 0.36. In six weeks dropped to 0.26 after beginning DUT and FIN. they are affecting sensitivity of the PSMA scans. After

is this what CR looks like?
Starting Nov 20 last year, I began a relugolix on-cycle. Here’s the PSA readings from that point: Nov 20 : 3.10 Jan 8: 0.31 Feb 27: 0.13 Apr 15: 0.08 So up to this point, the PSA is dropping nicely, as it always has with on-cycles; and as I would expect, since I’ve been a strong responder
