SUV-Max

Hello , Ive been on Eligard , Zytiga , predizone 26 months . Im oligo with 1 tumor in pelvic lymph node that was radiated , then 25 fractions across the pelvic region . The tumor they radiated was at SUV-MAX 24 . All labs are good , not much of side effects . I thought about stopping the meds after 3 yrs of Eligard and 2 yrs of abi , pred. according to the Stampede trial .

What bothers me is this article from Frontiers of Oncology in August,26 , 2022 "

The SUV Max can discriminate PCA metastasis Degree & Oligo Metastasis Status. The ADT treated-Oligo-Metastasis , the patient may still have Disease progression when the primary prostatic carcinoma focus SUV Max is greater than 28.22 . Mine was at 24 . So this may make me rethink about stopping Eligard , abi , and pred.

All of your pelvic lymph nodes were irradiated, so any spread was treated. The STAMPEDE trial of abi+ADT included men who had positive pelvic lymph nodes on a bone scan/CT, so a lot more progressed than yours. It's time to stop - hopefully, you are cured.

Thanks Tall one for the encouragement . Im just worried that if i stop and if it comes back in a big way . I guess I should take that chance to see if im cured or a long remission . Im 72 and need 7 more years to my 50th Wedding anniversary . Lets round it off to make 80 .
