Chronic constipation and excessive use of enema
Used excessive
enema
now it is not working. Consulted gastrointestinal expert gave some medicine, it helps but largely it is psychological. I can't pass stool its like lump and results in anal fissures. Any suggestion who had similar experience

UCLA wants me to have a bowel movement everyday before each of the 20 tx? what is the exact purpose of this? ( does it protect anus, urethra?
Is the last six inches of the rectum that a fleet
enema
covers enough to protect the rectum from radiation? or do i actually need a clean out with miralax or another laxative each time? All responses welcome and appreciated...tx.. Tall Allen...thoughts please???

Topical peppermint oil for pain management?
Hey, everyone, I'm new here I'm looking for more over the counter options especially low cost. I spend far more than I would like to admit on managing my IBS. I have only heard of Peppermint oil capsules but has anyone tried applying it topically to their abdomen? I'm not sure it would be effective

Afraid to go to the bathroom!!
I sometimes resort (too often lately) to an
enema
…not a whole
enema
- but I squirt a little when I’m sitting there in the hopes it will soften at least part of it…sometimes it helps just a little.

Big poo review
The professor on the show Tim Spector who is involved with gut health was also shocked about what extremes people go through just to go to the toilet, even giving themselves an
enema
regularly. Approx 174,000 people responded to the survey.

Blocked feeling in bowel
Have to use a mini
enema

Stuck between deciding on IMRT CONDENSED and SBRT with 4 months ORGOVXY- Have Jan 12th date to make decision for UCLA (meet with Dr. Kishan)
Have defibrillator so will be getting "old" CT protocol. with IMRT 15 minutes w "comfortably "full bladder ,
(don't think you need a fleet
for each of the 20 treatments). With SBRT a bit more complicated , 45 minutes -hour being "still ' w full bladder.

Question about CKD and having a colonoscopy
I am scared that the laxative solution and the phosphate
enema
that I have to take as part of preparing for the colonoscopy will damage my kidneys even more than they already are. I am also worried that the sedative I have to take as part of the procedure might do the same thing.

Started MRI Guided SBRT at MSK
Each session starts with an
enema
but unlike other forms of radiation, MRI guided SBRT requires and empty bladder instead of a full one. The first session was about an hour with an initial 45 minute MRI followed by about 15 minutes of SBRT.

Radiation proctitis....treatment
I have been testing with Sucralfate
enema
since 4 months... It reduced my stool blood symptoms by 80 %. All blood tests ok.... Some gastros say it will gradually go away others say my stool blood will get worse... My Radio Onco says it will never go away but will be less frequent...

Yesterday he was struggling so much the OOH GP sent him for an

I think I’m impacted
I ended up using an
enema
, but it was still extremely painful. Two weeks ago, the same problem started again. I kept trying to hold it in and eventually it got to the point where I couldn’t. I was able to go a little bit, and had to manually remove some which was very uncomfortable.

Severe HE on top of everything else!
He had been refusing the lactulose but they gave him an
enema
today, so hopefully that will start to work and ease the confusion, he’s like someone with dementia. He had been up all night, and has been sleeping most of today. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to endure.

Gentle liver flush - any benefits?
Hi All I've been reading about the link between hypothyroid and liver. I have decided to do a gentle detox. This involves castor oil on a cloth and a hot water bottle and lying it on the liver region for about 45 minutes. I've do it two days in a row. I just wondered if anyone else has done this and

Last time last night when he was given
enema

How to prepare for the Radiation Therapy? Your advise/help are appreciated.
My husband will receive 20 session of radiation therapy which started on 11/3/22. He is drinking 64 oz water every day therefore he is very hydrated. He is doing everything by the “book”, but Today they weren’t able to administer the radiation because he was gassy (took 2 gas x tablet 1 hour before
