Has anyone delayed their laparoscopy?
I was originally under gastro for suspected IBS, but after various tests (
endoscopy
; MRIs; scan) and me keeping a pain management and food diary the light bulb went off and the consultant realised it sounded more like a gynae issue.

Post endoscopy diet
I've had an
endoscopy
this morning for a coeliac diagnosis. The Dr said everything looks normal but took biopsies as well. My first ttg bloods were 27 then second one 3 weeks later was 39.7.

Let's have a quiz to brighten your Sunday! You only need to answer one question if you wish!!
Just to start us off I'm going to add 10 questions and see how it goes, if you enjoy it we can extend it and make it a regular Sunday Quiz, so here goes everyone. 1) From which language is the word ‘ketchup’ derived? Answer given Chinese :-) 2) Which is the country with the biggest population in Europe

Forced to take a break from running even though I'm not technically 'injured...' and I'm not even halfway through my half marathon training!
But then I'm going to lose another week of half marathon training the week after because I'm having to go back into hospital on the 6th Jan to have an
endoscopy
to see if they can find out what caused my bad abdominal pain in the first place.

New & Confused: Any tests to help decide on Lap?
I have had general gynea exam, vaginal ultrasound,
endoscopy
with biopsy (due to possible thickening of uterus lining seen in the Ultrasound). There was some talk of a very small, insignficicant fibrioid at ultrasound but nothing of concern, and clinically non-significant cysts on my cervix.

Cancerous polyp in stomach
Last month I had an
endoscopy
and this week I was told there is a small polyp which has been confirmed as cancer. I have no idea how far advances it is but I have to return on Monday 9th Dec to have another
endoscopy
to remove the polyp. I have no idea what to expect or what to do after.

Slight very brief pinching feeling in throat at right side, I think (not sure) just below Adam's apple - otherwise no symptoms
Had stomach
endoscopy
in February, had CT thorax in April and had throat inspection six weeks ago - all OK, but this new slight pinching sensation is getting me worried about my throat and/or esophagus.

Hospital visit
Anyway, the did an
endoscopy
, colonoscopy, and sent down a camera capsule to look for bleeding in small bowel. Thankfully, absolutely NO esophageal varices and they couldn’t find the bleed. Since I’m on a blood thinner, they think a small vessel is slowly leaking blood.

I recently had an Endoscopy. Results were small intestine is fine. I am gluten free due to pain and it has helped ease the pain.
How is it possible that gluten free diet would help if there is no problem with celiac? Can anything help an atrophic stomach lining? Doesn't the lining replace itself every few days?

Right Upper Quadrant Pain? – Update
responses=142200508) As I alluded to in that first correspondence, earlier this month I had an upper
endoscopy
performed. In this case, the gastroenterologist was looking specifically for ulcers and signs of gastritis.

CT Scan Results, New Medication :-(
Eventually, after discussing this issue (and others) with my primary physician- she sent me for an
endoscopy
and colonoscopy. Turns out that I had pretty significant gastritis- all the way up to my esophagus.

Any thoughts on the ferritin or the
endoscopy
? He says the
endoscopy
is neither urgent nor imperative but that he always recommends ut to his PA patients.

I would like to start self injections.
After having an upper
endoscopy
, with multiple biopsies done. I now know that I have pernicious anemia. I have completed the loading doses, one shot weekly for 6 weeks and my doctor wants me to now have monthly injections for the rest of my life.

Laryngoscopy and scared
A thyroid scan and
endoscopy
earlier in the year showed no cancer, but what if it's developed? According to the letter I will receive (seen an online version of it) it says nothing about general anaesthetic or not eating for several hours. So I assume its a tube down throat procedure.

Iron deficiency anemia
Colonoscopy and
endoscopy
came out clear and really clean so we attributed it to iron deficiency. Currently iron is at 20 compared to a range of 50-175 and ferritin is at 3 compared to a range of 8-388. I changed my diet to include lots of spinach, broccolu, etc and started an iron supplement.
