h pylori on endoscopy but negative on stool and blood test
More recently I had an
endoscopy
because I got to the point where I felt really full and have barely eaten for months, although, in October last year this made my symptoms improve. I had an
endoscopy
in January this year that suggested portal hypertension.

No to Lansoprazole
Endoscopy
showed only minor gastric damage and no other issues, so it must be doing something to contain the hiatus hernia which is sliding 3cm. She also more or less ruled out surgery. 40mg per day .

Painful indigestion
I've had upper
endoscopy
which did not show anything. I'm also on weekly alondronate for osteoporosis, caused by my breast cancer treatment. ( 2002 and 2021) this also causes indigestion. So I did not take this weeks dose.

My consultant did mention steroids to treat the inflammation during my last appointment but that was before I had the colonoscopy and capsule
endoscopy
. I've had my gallbladder out three years ago and my consultant said it could Bile Acid Malabsorption too.

Cured by Meds?
I was beside myself with worry for 4 weeks then I was referred for an
Endoscopy
!
Endoscopy
came back clear apart from 5 stomach polyps. 2 were biopsied and found to be benign. Note, I have never had PPI's.

Gut Issues
I have had a coloscopy,
endoscopy
, and MRI with contrast on the stomach. Nothing was reported. I have had an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound .. everything was reported normal considering my age. Has anyone else had these issues? Could these be related to hormones?

Apixaban, bleeding ulcer and stroke risks
Last week she coughed up blood, called ambulance, admitted to A&E and
endoscopy
suggested bleeding ulcer in upper GI tract. She was taken off Apixaban to reduce the risk of internal bleeding but this in turn caused a cranial blood clot and stroke while still in hospital.

Normal endoscopy... will going lactose free help?
Hi everyone, Had a gastroscopy yesterday and fortunately nothing was discovered with everything appearing normal. Obviously I'm very relieved that nothing awful was found but I still haven't found out what is causing my reflux pain and excessive burping. I am a month into using lanzaprozole and gaviscon

I've also had an
endoscopy
which found mild gastritis unsurprisingly. They took biopsies because of inflammation as it can be caused by Auto-immune problems. Results in 10-14 days!!. So relieved to get all big procedures done now and i'm recovering as soooooo tired. Update will follow.

Recently "diagnosed" - not feeling good
I haven't had a colonoscopy, scan or
endoscopy
. I think I'm just looking to find out more from others - can my symptoms really be IBS? I haven't had problems with bowel movements other than a couple of loose ones recently which I think are down to the anxiety I'm feeling.

Conflicting fibroscan and ultrasound results
I have had an
endoscopy
with no indication of varices. I've also had an ultrasound, which the sonographer said looked entirely normal. She said that, if I had cirrhosis, she would see that during the test. After being given the fibroscan result, I saw a specialist gastro dietician.

Is there a difference between Barrett’s tongue and barretts oesophagus ?
I have been trying to research this since my
endoscopy
showed “possible Barrett’s tongue” Biopsy has been taken to rule this out which I hope is a positive sign , but does anyone have experience of this term?

Why taking anti-inflammatories including Pred could lead to a stomach ulcer
shareToken=caa43823ee68fa182865e92faa5502b2 Today I had an
endoscopy
because of pains in the food pipe. The doctor doing the procedure was excellent and wanted to hear exactly where I felt pain.

Chronic Liver Disease Post Transplant
I’m having an
endoscopy
under anaesthetic on 7 May and hopefully after that I’ll have some answers. What I’d like to ask is has anyone else had anything like this? My transplant was required as I have a faulty gene, A1ATD - just for info.
