update on pcp visit Thursday august 8, 2024. Labs drawn, calcium now 9.7 range 8.8-10.3. Headaches! BP 150/100, started on HCTZ 25mg, did not effect BP and I broke out in mild hives! I have my appointment with the surgeon this Wednesday the 14th, I sure hope I’m not going to be on a roller coaster! Pathology

Stopping Losartan

Bisoprolol
I was already on enalapril for HB, have now been given bisopralol 5mgs for paroxysmal afib but I'm finding it makes me continually breathless and sometimes nauseated. The gp has now given me 3.75mgs to try but not hopeful it will make any difference. Has anyone had this experience with bisoprolol?

Has anyone here had the experience of taking meds for ADHD while trying to keep blood pressure under control?
Hi, I'm new here and recently diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive type). I'm almost 40 and never took any stimulants. I also suffer from anxiety and depression and have high blood pressure (which I think is related to my anxiety). I've been taking Sertraline for depression and Hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension

Doxazosin
My GP has suggested I try Doxazosin as an alternative to Amlodipine that I currently take to see if it stops the light headedness and tinnitus I have been experiencing. When I was first diagnosed with high BP in December 2023 I was started on Enalapril but had to change to Amlodipine as I suffered badly

SPIRONOLACTONE 25 MG TABLET
Can anyone please tell me if spironolactone interferes with RLS? If so, are there any other b/p meds that can be a good substitute? I'm already taking HCTZ and lisinopril.

Warning Signs Before My Cardiac Arrests
Hi -- after I posted the description of my 4 cardiac arrests, a couple people asked for more details, like what early symptoms or warnings I had. So here goes. In the year before my cardiac arrests in July of 2018 I was awoken 4 times with breathing difficulties. I simply couldn't catch my breath

Amlodipine Fatigue
I was diagnosed with high BP in December 2023 when I had to go to A&E with sudden onset of a racing heart rate and increasing BP, 210/101 at its highest!! Enalapril finally brought it under control but after about a week I developed the side effect of a really bad, persistent cough. My GP decided to

Timing
I've always taken enalapril in the morning but a friend of mine takes hers in the evening. I do a lot of throat clearing and coughing after breakfast, I think I read that enalapril can make it worse as I suffer from reflux just wondered if night time dosing would be better.

HiA year ago I elected to try Entresto and was on a baby dose for 6 months and then up to usual starting dose. The Registrar added in Dapa and reduced my beta blocker to help my low bp and keep me upright. I'm on 320mg of furosemide daily too. Everything is a bit struggly now. Struggling with low bp
