I had a stroke at 40 (27 years ago) caused by malignant hypertension. Meds were atenolol100mg, enalapril 20mg twice per day and dozazocin 4mg. Which worked well til recently. Since December bp has been high and I now take atenolol 100mg, enalapril 20mg twice per day, doxazocin 6mg twice per day and amlodipine 5mg along with other meds. I also have a 9cm “simple cyst” on one kidney. My questions are:- Why has my bp risen recently ? and Should I be asking for tests to get some answers? ( it is still on the high side and being monitored just now) Thanks in advance.
