Dilated pupils.
I’ve recently undergone surgery which may or may not have a bearing on this. I’m three weeks out, and the only medication I’m on is aspirin for clotting. I’m still taking my normal dose of 55mcg T3 split twice, but my activity levels although great for this soon are nothing like they were before.

Epidural Injections for Back Pain for MPN Patient
I am scheduled for an epidural Friday and have some concerns since I have PV and ET. I have stopped taking aspirin as well as Eliquis; however, I am concerned about the possible risk involved with the epidural. I have been having some back and leg pain for about a month and went to an orthopedic dr

Mayo Clinic Received a totally different approach to managing my MPN
Hi Everyone, Currently I am being treated for PCV and taking Coumadin (hx of Blood clots x2) and Besremi since June 2022 per my MPN specialist in Denver, CO. I saw a MPN specialist at the Mayo Clinic last week and he advised me that based on the WHO criteria for PCV that my MPN is unclassified.

will I tolerate Hydroxy after interferon?
hello everyone. After having given Interferon for ET a good go, I haven’t been able to continue on it. Currently just on aspirin awaiting next blood results to see if I need medication again after a 10 month break. Dr’s are planning on Hydroxy…. i’m worried that if I didn’t tolerate IFN I won’t tolerate

Spleen - normal size varies by height of the person
Hi All, I recently had a visit to a new MPN specialist after mine changed hospitals. I was discussing my diagnosis of pre-MF and why that diagnosis versus ET. One interesting thing that came up was spleen length. In my ultrasound and other tests my spleen came back as "mildly enlarged" measuring

I’m very lucky to be going on holiday to the Caribbean in November. I would like to take part on a 150 foot descent, air conditioned submarine trip to view marine life. There is no mention of medical risks or cautions on the websites. I have ET, platelets circa 680, medication Aspirin 75mgs. Has anybody

Light-Headed
Hi, I have survived 2 'out of hospital' cardiac arrests. I had a triple heart bypass after the first in 2012 and an ICD fitted in 2019 after the second. 10 days ago, I started feeling very light-headed. I have had no change of meds (either dosage or type) . I take Ramipril, Amiodarone, Asprin, Bisoprolol

Here we go again! *potentially sensitive*
I’m back after a year out! 3rd transfer has resulted in BFP. We’ve discovered I have blood clotting disorders so I’m on aspirin daily (on top of all the other pills and potions!!) and need to get straight down the miscarriage clinic for tests to see if I need to be on Heparin injections . They are also

Internal Bleeding - update on wife
Update on my wife’s condition. Hi everyone – well, it has been quite a month, but we’ve made progress. My wife got an endoscopy to see the cause and extent of her internal bleeding. The doctor determined that the Prednisone was not the cause but some baby aspirin she had been using in conjunction with

aspirin some facts just read
Heart Specialists Disagree on Aspirin Dose Serebruany says he decided to investigate the relationship between aspirin dose and bleeding risk because there was a difference of opinion among heart specialists. "Cardiologists all like aspirin, but they disagree about how much aspirin should be used."

This is going to be long winded but it is getting me down. Those of you who have read my posts will know that in 2020 i had two stents fitted one in each artery which led to so many things appearing, frozen shoulder in one arm tennis elbow in the other. Due to walking as part of my rehabilitation i found
