6th vaccine

Hi everyone, I booked my 5th vaccine online and went to a local pharmacy as did with my 4th. I did not have to show any documents although I am 74years ET + on Hydroxy and aspirin. They asked the usual questions and which vaccine I was due. The vaccination was administered by the pharmacist who informed me that my next vaccine, the 6th, Is due in 91 days. Has anyone else been given leave for a 6th vaccination, just curious.

Crumbs where you live are on the ball, got my fourth jab back in April and that was very stressful, produced letter from hospital telling them that I was to have the vaccine but they were still funny with me, they got the duty Doc to talk to me who eventually said I could have, so I was given the Moderna which was fine, but eight hours later I was extremely unwell shaking like mad and shivering also a high temperature, frightened that I was having a fit.Spoke with GP they said it was a reaction to Moderna and that if and when I get the invite for the fifth jab to mention if its that one again, but no mention of fifth jab, also I have not heard anything as yet, and where we are in Bromley Kent there does not seem any information about when and if this is going to happen all seems to of gone quite, even though Covid is on the increase again, even my husband has not had his fourth one yet, but he will be 75 in August so hopefully he will get the invite then.

My saving grace is I have very high antibodies, I am part of the ONS monthly swab and blood testing which is good so the jabs must be working.

Hi Superwoman, I have done all the work myself online, as my surgery did not want to know, I have only had 1 vaccination at my surgery, the rest I booked online. I just take the MPN and blood cancer uk letter and my hydroxy medication box and that seems to do the trick. Also I think the fact that the pharmacist administering the vaccine is a bonus as he is more knowlegable regarding hydroxy than others. Hope you get sorted soon.

I did think the 6th, or Autumn booster was supposed to be six months after our spring booster (5th), to make sure it carried us through the winter. However, that might just apply to those of us who had the 5th earlier - I had mine in April. Or maybe advice has changed due to the numbers increasing again. Glad you got your 5th without any problems.
