Soap substitutes for hand washing
Hi, I’m new here but am part of the asthma group. I have the whole atopic gang - asthma, eczema and hay fever although the hay fever less so. I was told by a doctor years ago ‘no soap on any part of your body’ so have been using soap substitutes for hand washing. I was prescribed Doublebase in a pump

Should emollients make your eczema worse before better? How long to persevere with new emollient?
Hi there, should emollient make your eczema patches redder after applying? And itchier? Is this to be expected while your skin re-moisturises? How long should you persevere before accepting an emollient does not suit you? Ive tried so many, which I give up quickly because they don't improve the skin

Day patches
I've recently upped my injection frequency. No idea if this is a reason. I've got small oval very dry patches that get very angry if I miss one with loads of emollient or cream. This is new to me . Although not anywhere as troublesome as any other symptoms is new and sore. Has anyone else after a couple

Has anybody tried to control their Scleroderma and Raynauds symptoms via their diet and exercise and without any medication?
I have recently been diagnosed with Scleroderma and gave raynauds for over 20 years now. I get really bad eczema flare ups which I believe are related to certain foods, which I have now eliminated. I’m getting a lot of skin pigmentation and it’s really itchy. I’m using emollient creams and bath stuff

Blotchy legs
I was wondering if anyone is suffering blotchy patches on both legs and ankles. I’m currently on olaparib and Cediranib. I have been taking them since June 2019. I’ve had raised blotches since the beginning but feel they are worse. Sometimes the raised areas are tender to touch. Also feel my feet and

Does anyone out there have itch symptoms?
Doctor can only offer
emollients
which makes it burn. He says he's tied by NICE Guidelines and can't increase B12 frequency. Any ideas for symptom relief before I go insane. Makes me wonder if the very common senile pruritic is caused by B12 deficiency

Skin burning and tearing feeling when stretching skin
For the last few months my skin is becoming increasingly sensitive. When I crouch down, for example, I feel that the skin on my buttocks, thighs and knees is tearing and burning. Sometimes it lasts up to 3 minutes even after I stand up. Some days it’s worse than others. My general practitioner and haematologist

Weeping eczema
My son is 8 weeks old and has eczema , I saw signs about 5/6 weeks and since then his symptoms have worsened. Over last few days the creases in his arms and feet have began to weep excessively and he has had some weeping from his face, neck and chest area also. Anyone found this in a child so young

Psoriasis flare up
With my psoriatic arthritis, I get psoriasis on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. Usually it’s just a relatively minor problem, but over the last week, it’s flared up really badly for no apparent reason, and is really red and sore, with lots of broken skin. I’ve just started a week long

Face is super dry and flakey!
Treatment was various steroid creams,
emollients
and non steroid i.e. Elocon ointment. However I don't recall specific patches on my face. Majority of it cleared up few years ago - very occasionally wrists become itchy from my restaurant job & good hygiene.
