I develop increasingly severe itching especially at night about 3 weeks before my 8 weekly injection which subsides around a week after B12 injection. Doctor can only offer emollients which makes it burn. He says he's tied by NICE Guidelines and can't increase B12 frequency.
Any ideas for symptom relief before I go insane.
Makes me wonder if the very common senile pruritic is caused by B12 deficiency

I have no remedies but I have been having itching recently mostly in the evening and my injection is due next week I was wondering if it could be related so thank you for sharing. X
I read your post with interest. I too have developed an itch over the last few weeks. I am now going to ensure I only use non bio soap powder/liquid, no softener and just noemal emollients for washing, so scented soap etc. Trying to elimates a reason, as it's too easy to always think it's due to PA. Will change bed today also. Could just be a normal allergy however I also plan to take an antihistamine every day and see how if goes. Good luck everyone and keep well xx
