Pelvic congestion syndrome (pcs)
Anyone else suffer with this? I had a ovarian vein embolization to help with chronic pelvic pain 11 months ago along with a total hysterectomy leaving ovaries in for pre existing endometrosis and 3 weeks ago ended up having the left ovary removed and congested veins down the pelvic wall to relieve symptoms

Unilateral oophorectomy recovery, really need some advice!
Cut a long story short, ive had numerous laps for endometrosis and was also diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome few years back. Last year i had a total hysterectomy leaving my ovaries but i had a ovarian vein embolization to relieve pelvic pain. With persistent cycle symptoms it was decided that

Kidney biopsy AV Fistula
So after I got my kidney biopsy on Monday I ended up with a AV fistula. They went in the groin and put a coil in to just stop the blood flow between the vein and artery. I think it is called a renal embolization. Has anyone else been through this ? How was your pain after? I am on day 4 and I am feeling

Adenomyosis/Fibroids - which treatment?
So an update following on from my recent Haemoglobin levels crashing and resulting in a blood transfusion... ...Well at 56 and surely close to the menopause I think six years of struggling with horrendous periods is long enough. It seems I have Adenomyosis and two 3cm fibroids. So, I have been

Peri-Menopause and Menorrhagia
Ok I'm at my wits end after six years of flooding through tampons in three minutes or no longer able to hold them in. I have moved on from night time pads to incontinence pads to incontinence pants and as an alternative toddlers nappies...many at the same time. I flood so much blood and huge huge clots

Conclusions regarding high AFP result
I will be booked in for my 12th
embolisation
and will be reassessed 4 weeks later. I am then out of the country until the beginning of January and if required will attend for further bloods and an MRI before we discuss the next moves.

Hi, I’ve joined here because I’ve just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia I’m desperate to know I’m not alone in this.
So shortly after those operations I had a pelvic vein
embolisation
. Since that , the pain has become even worse. I went back to my doctors , I went back almost once a month to get them to believe me. Why does no one believe you about chronic pain? I felt like I was so alone.

The Saga Continues
We have retested the fluid on the right and it’s no longer Chyle so
embolisation
is now off the table so at least that decision has been made. I met with my oncology team on Thursday. My oncologist is off sick so I saw the registrar we talked about weekly taxol again.

I have been chasing the hospital up to find out if an
embolisation
procedure to stop my chylothorax will be possible. There is still no news now the consultant radiologist is talking to someone at one of the other hospitals in Manchester.

I want to explore the
embolisation
further but was concerned about the radiologists lack of experience.

Is Chemotherapy treatment is must for a patient who underwent perfect surgery by which the tumour was perfectly dissected away?
I am new here. My wife, aged 60 years, had a tumour in her right liver lobe. She first underwent portal vein embolization procedure. After 5 weeks, on March 26th 2018, she had hepatactomy surgery, by which the tumour was perfectly dissected and removed away from her right liver lobe. Now, she is recovering

Hello everyone
I had a sub arachnoid haemorrhage earlier this month and an
embolisation
of the aneurysm. They found another, smaller, aneurysm which has not been touched yet which will be monitored. I am doing quite well so far I think, I'm home from hospital and on the mend.

Unmanageable pain and double vision post coil embolization of aneurysm, is this common?
Hello everyone, thank you again for answering my questions prior to this coil embolization procedure. Upon waking up from the procedure, I had double vision and unbelievable, unmanageable pain that I am still fighting. Unfortunately, we are 18 days post-surgery, via angiogram through my artery vs open
