Should I stop Eliquis?
There is no approved antidote for
Eliquis
if one happened to be in an accident. Maybe hospitals do have a special unapproved treatment, I don't know.
Eliquis
is very convenient but is it worth it? Warfarin you can counteract with Vit K.

Eliquis and grapefruit
I have just started
Eliquis
and am confused about grapefruit. The Bristol Meyers website says nothing and I have read postings that their agents say there is no problem. But other websites like WebMD advise against it, What is the prevailing wisdom.

Finally got around to posting my story
What scares me the most is discontinue
eliquis
2 days prior to cath and 4 days prior to valve repair. I don't know why they waited 8 months for surgery to take place or why we did a T test after the echo. Surgeons referenced echo only when siting needed repair/replace.

How many days would you forfeit your blood thinner?
When I got to her office to pick up the paperwork, she told me to stop the
Eliquis
for 72 hours. When I inquired as to restarting the
Eliquis
, she said 2 days later!! That's 5 days without the blood thinner. What do you people think??? You have given me good advice in the past; please weigh in!!

6 months post ablation and off Eliquis - occasional pint.
My EP says that eventually I will have to get back to
Eliquis
down the road as age takes it's toll but in the meantime I have some years drug free - he doesn't know how many. It was a turbulent year.

Eliquis
Does anyone have a problem with the drug
Eliquis
? My doctors want me to keep taking it even though my afib is now controlled with an anti-afib drug. I have been on
Eliquis
for about a year and am suddenly getting bruises all over my body.

New onset AFIB with stroke
I'm on lipitor, lopressor and
eliquis
for the foreseeable future. If I don't have any AFIB episodes or if I do and my heart doesn't race, I'll come off the beta blocker. Also, once I get my cholesterol below 100 I'll come off that also. I wasn't very high so I'll keep it down with diet.

Hello everyone - just joined your community
I've been given Amiodarone and
Eliquis
, but, to be honest, I'm a bit anxious about taking them because of the possible side effects - I don't want to develop an extra thing on top of what I already have! I'm sure that some of you feel/have felt the same way so I'd love your feedback, please. P.S.

Depression or heart?
I was put on
eliquis
/apaxiban to help prevent future clotting. I saw my cardiologist a few weeks later and he did an echo and ecg. My EF was down slightly at just below 50% and my ecg was normal (for me!).

Joint pain
I'm being treated with an anticoagulant (
Eliquis
), which is working very well for me. I know some people do not think
Eliquis
is the proper anticoagulant, but I talked in depth with my hematologist about the drug. My issue now is severe joint pain. It's not every day, or even every week.

Post-Eliquis
I've been off of
Eliquis
for almost a week now and have been having all kinds of side-effects: peripheral neuropathy which came out of nowhere, low blood pressure, and just a general sense of heart not feeling well. Anyone else experience this or anything else?? Thanks
