American TV ads for NOACs.
In particular I saw at least 6 advertisements for the new anticoagulants Xarelto and
Eliquis
. One advertisement featured an aged Arnold Palmer and a group of men on a golf course saying something along the lines of "We don't let AFib spoil our fun, we take Xarelto.

Aspirin Facts
I was originally put on
Eliquis
, but ended up with a significant bleeding episode. They took me off everything except 325 mg of aspirin each day. There is a history of blood clots and strokes in my family, so I'm concerned with being proactive. Is taking aspirin dangerous? If so, why?

Goals
I'm taking
Eliquis
,Lipitor, Coreg, Tikosyn and Plavix. I believe sometimes that less is more. I'd like to either reduce or eliminate most of the drugs other than the anticoagulants that I need due to the stents and maybe the Tikosyn. I never took ANY meds until last year.

Aspirin
For some reason when I visited my EP two months ago he put me on
Eliquis
and told me told hold off on the aspirin. My cardiologist told me not to stop the aspirin. Well to make a long story short I never restarted the aspirin.

Which "Blood thinner"
Apixaban (
Eliquis
) was the third drug to become available in the United States. Apixaban comes in two doses, 5 mg twice daily or 2.5 mg twice daily. In the Aristotle trial, apixaban was at least as good and tended to be better than warfarin at preventing stroke (3).

The antidote has already been shown to successfully reverse the anticoagulation activity of apixaban (
Eliquis
, Bristol-Myers Squibb/Pfizer).

Pac's 3 months after ablation
Good news since no AFib I am off blood thinner - I was taking
Eliquis
. My questions for the group are: has anyone else had this happen (PAC's) after ablation? And should I be concerned the PAC's could lead to a return of Afib? It is worrisome that I can't tell the difference.

Are Eliquis, Pradaxa or Dabigatran available on the NHS? They are more efficient than Warfarin and are recommended by NICE

Any info on use of K2 & Apixaban?
I am taking Apixaban (
Eliquis
2) for the last 12 weeks as a blood thinner as I have AF.I also have Osteoporosis and take Calcichew D3 Forte. I have read that K2 supplement is a great help for the uptake of the calcium into the bone so I am about to start to use it.
