New here! Great to be here! Advice on at home ECG
Hello everyone, Glad to be here I hope everyone is keeping well and safe! I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on portable ECG that you can take at home. I have identified three and would very much welcome anyone's reviews. This is probably my favourite as you have the pads that

New here, difficulty getting diagnosed - advice/similar experiences most welcome!
Hello, I am hoping someone may have had a similar experience to me and may have some advice... I am 48 and started experiencing palpitations in January of this year. When my partner feels my pulse, he will feel it miss a beat and at the same time I feel a judder/flutter in my chest. I don't experience

Being Switched From Flecainide to Solotol...Any Feedback?

Why haven’t I been examined?
After my HA was finally confirmed in a retrospective ecg, I have been put on blood thinners and beta blockers which have slowed my heart rate alarmingly (it’s only 60 without them). I haven’t been seen by a cardiology department or investigated further , so am scared what has caused it and have been

Is AF a cause or effect
I have posted a while ago about my AF. Sorry for the long post but I bottle it up. I dont get many episodes, one on Monday at 1am lasting 7 hours - 2 x flecainide straight away, but it never subsided until 7am, an hour after taking 5mg of bisoprolol ( I usually take 2.5mg). Previous to this, last August

Anti-arhythmics for ectopics?
Hi just wondering whether anyone here takes Anti-arhythmics to successfully treat their ectopics. Just had my appt with cardiologist and he thinks it is unlikely beta blockers will help in my case (to be confirmed with stress Echo and yet another ECG in a fortnight) and that the only treatment option

Not going as planed
Hi everyone just a quick update. I had my chest X-ray and ECG done yesterday. They then told me that my heart cath more than likely won’t be going ahead today. To say I was annoyed would be an understatement. Got the team coming round sometime today to chat to me. I need to come back to have my liver

CARDIAC ARREST
CARDIAC ARREST: I remember reading a new article years ago, about a man who dropped dead from a Cardiac Arrest in a Toronto hardware store shortly after having an ECG which diagnosed him as being fine. I guess you can never tell when or where such a thing could happen. All we can do is live to the best

Smart watch
Do you really need an ecg on a smart watch I had a heart attack last year and now getting back to fitness so just kind of wondering is it worth it or just keep an eye on heart rate

HEART OR NEUROLOGICAL? ADVICE PLEASE
I have had several falls in recent months. I have no body strength and my wife has to help me shower dress and sometimes help me get up from a chair. I can now only walk short distances when I go out for my daily walk and feel very tired and weak all the time. When alone if I fall I stay on the ground

Blood pressure monitors
My GP has prescribed Bisoprolol as my blood pressure was 151/91 when I visited to discuss the diagnosis of possible Atrial Fib from a 24 hr ECG . I think there might be an element of white coat syndrome especially as I knew he was going to do this and I has walked briskly to the surgery as I thought
