Hello I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience. Hi Treeclimber62,

I think glenninindy has it right. Definitely further testing required.

I had a heart attack December 2016.

March 2017 five stents.

Eight months later started getting active angina again.

February I started getting passive angina.

March 2019 I had a quintuple bypass (CABG x 5).

I was taken into hospital around two weeks before the date given for the planned surgery because that was the "safest" place for me.

Two days before I was due to have the surgery I was in intensive care and put on a drip to keep my arteries open in order for me to make it to the operating theatre.

The doctor insisted that I went into hospital after having an angina attack whilst at rest. Thank God he did. I didn’t want to "bother anyone".

Don’t want to worry you or anything but the stakes are to high to mess around. Keep pushing and get it checked out.

Wishing you all the very best 👍

Something to note - having symptoms or recent intervention is just like having the MOT done on a car - it is only good for that particular time as things can change very quickly indeed. If it cannot be resolved to settle down with your GTN spray or similar then you need to seek further help ASAP before it gets worse.

Similar story , HA & 5 stents dec 17. Started with unstable and stable angina May 2020 , 5 trips to A&E with no result. Saw private cardio x 3 as waiting lists impossible. Echo, MRI, CT and angio tests done. 6th trip to A&E and a further repeat angio last tuesday dislodged 20mm blood clot in left artery which was withdrawn via the catheter. If the clot had come loose naturally I would not be writing this today. Keep going back until you get the cause of the angina properly diagnosed.

Hi I would really suggest you do not worry about being tested and to call 111 as needed. I have 4 stents and what I have learnt is that things change and can change quickly. A 70% blockage can go to 99% in some people faster than others. I also have had a best friend die as she did not want to be a bother when she had chest pain, she left 3 children and my best friend heart broken. In short we are all different have have different warning signs so please keep pushing to be tested and make sure you are OK, the NHS is a huge machine with delays and endless paperwork so it is up to us to take action. Hope that helps.

Yes it helps alot and I'm grateful for your feedback and concern I'm afraid the NHS is sometimes lacking in taking action but it's so big and they dont seem to communicate so well at times I agree its needs individuals to stand our own corner and sometimes cajole them to get the best we can luckily I'm not a frail person and can stick up for myself I feel sorry for the more vulnerable people who cant get there voices heard in fact I've seen how older people who are frail being treated very shoddily by some in the NHS

Hi, I agree with your comments, I recall my own father was moved to the death ward on the liverpool care pathway, it means they remove meds, water and food and let them die, look it up it is a real thing, they thought my father had no family so decided his fate, we complained and had him moved to the QE where he made a recovery. My friend was in Ridditch and put on a waiting list when she had a ha, my brother had a ha in the same week and had a stent put in on the same day, he lived she did not, now she said she she did not want to be a bother. When I had my ha I tried to talk to my doctor but was denied access and told to call back another day. Use 111, they will listen and take action you doctor might take weeks to think about. Hope you are OK, how are you coping with all of this?

Thanks for reply that's a awful story about your father it's a good job you complained I'm coping ok thanks I've found worrying just makes things worse so I'm just taking it day to day .I've got a appointment on the 30th of this month with the cardiologist if he sends me for a angiogram that could be a months wait I suppose not much I can do apart from lay it on thick or pay for one which I cant afford .

Thanks for your reply much appreciated I've got a appointment with cardiologist and my GP has put me on 5mil bisopolol and 10 mil isosorbride so it's just a waiting game now I'm afraid at the moment the NHS seems to be struggling I didnt get very good treatment at a@e not over confident with them
