A little bit of help with an echogram result please?
My husband has a history of heart disease and has stents and an ICD implant approx 6 years ago. (He went into VT after damage from a heart attack) He has never been shocked since and is stable regarding VT. He also has atrial fibrillation controlled by meds. He is on lots of medication for his heart

Ablation on Monday!
I recd a telephone call from Cardiology offering me an Ablation for Monday 26 Sept 2022. My husband advised me to take it, so I accepted the offer. I did query why I had been offered this so quickly as only diagnosed with Atrial Flutter in June 2022. Apparently it is due to the fact I am unable to

Thyroid or AFib Symptom
I’ve been reading Greygoose advice to another member re discomfort in the neck possibly being Thyroid related. I have had discomfort - not pain as such - in the hollow in the front of my neck just above the clavicle. It feels like I’ve swallowed a golf ball! No swelling. I am in continuous AFib and

Ecg results
I had an ecg this morning and it said that my systolic reading was 88mmhg and my diastolic was 50mmhg. The nurse said that my blood pressure was a bit low 88/50mmhg. I don't know what will happen whether or not I will be put on medication or not. I am really worried. I just hope when I see the doctor

Skipped Beats
Well--I have written on this forum before and appreciate all the feedback about my heart palpitations, anxiety, skipped beats, etc. I have had them since I was 9 on and off and now I am 70. Went to the cardiologist in June and said I was "exceptionally fit". EKG, ECHO, Halter all good. I know exactly

ecg and low blood pressure
I have had a ecg this morning and it was fine but it says that my systolic reading was 88mmhg and my diastolic was 50mmhg. The nurse said that my blood pressure was a little low but it has never been low until today. I am not sure why. anyway, I hope that there is nothing bad wrong with me. I hope you

Ectopics/Possible Afib
Hi, hoping for some advice please. Was on PIP Bisoprolol 1.25mg for SVT and ectopics until cancer diagnosis in 2019, when I started taking Bisoprolol 1.25mg daily on doctor's insistence, upped to 2.5mg a year ago. Also on Amlodopine 5mg for BP. This has worked a treat and I completed surgery, chemo,

Paroxysmal AF getting worse
I was diagnosed with PAF last spring and put on bisoprolol plus a blood thinner. The dosage of bisoprolol has since crept up to the maximum 10mg per day as the PAF has become more frequent and longer lasting. I have been struggling to get my GP to get me an appt with cardiology for a meds review and/

Trelstar
My urologist changed my eligard injections to Trelstar without my knowledge. It was given subq instead of IM as prescribed. Is that a problem?

Atrial Tachycardia
After two temporarily successful cardioversions (6 months af free each time) I had an ablation in May and all seemed to be going well. I remained happily in sinus rhythm for over three months until suddenly, out of the blue, my heart rate and blood pressure rocketed and I ended up in the Resus Department

ICD's
Hi everyone, I've been waiting for a ICD fitted for over six months now and every time I call to ask for a date the hospital just says they will let me know but nothing happens so I was just wondering if anyone knew what the average waiting time is for this procedure

is there a cardiac uniform at all?
I was called Iron Man by my son after I had the ICD fitted. He’s into his Marvel universe but it stuck in my head. Each time I attend a hospital appointment I wear my Iron Man T-shirt. It’s become something of a uniform for me. makes me feel better in places full of ill people.

My Story and I'm thinking someone can relate?
My AFIB story goes back several years. It first began back in 2008. I had been having "spells" that were mild and usually went away with rest. But then that stopped working and I ended up at a cardiologist's office. They did a chemically induced stress test and placed me on Betapace and diltiazem.

Has anyone used a TENS machine to stimulate the Vagus nerve via the ear to reduce Afib?
I have Vagal Afib and recently started using a tens machine on my left ear twice daily for 15 minutes. Applied to the Concha in the ear and the ear lobe to complete the circuit. 20hZ at 200 microseconds, wetting the ear and contacts with some saliva to get a good connection. I discovered 2 months ago
