Hi,I have recently been using a tens machine for a different sort of pain but have used in the past for Endo pain aswell. If nothing else it's a distraction but certainly does ease some pain especially back pain.Lloyds chemist sell a really reasonably priced one simple to use but effective think it was about £13.99. 🙂

Hi. I find heat is the best - a plug-in heat pad (Dreamland Intelliheat) which is more versatile than a hot water bottle and also a heated blanket (same brand, both from Argos). Tens is good too. If you don't find tens relieves the pain, try experimenting with the pads - I eventually found it helped just sticking the pads on my legs rather than at the source of the pain. I have an Omron pocket tens machine (Amazon).

I used to use a Livia device, (Google) which targets specific areas, took some getting used to, but took the edge of for me. Also found after taking every single drug possible, even morphine..that aspirin plus paracetamol in correct doses helped more than anything.

Hey, I purchased a tens machine a few months ago and for me personally it did not do much for my pain but it did help in other ways. In some way it relaxes my abdomen so it takes the slight edge of. The biggest help for me pain wise was buying a heat pad that I leave on all night and day when I’m in bed and it’s much more efficient then a hot water bottle (I find)

lots of period focused tens machines seem to charge a lot more for the same tech used in standard tens machines. I’ve found a tens machine really useful - only advice is find one that’s rechargeable or you’ll be spending a fortune on batteries. Also for me depending on the pain being able to adjust the frequency and strength of the signal has been really important.

Aside from that I’ve also recently got a sheepskin hot water bottle cover. I’ve finally stopped burning myself after years of hot water bottle abuse to try and manage the pain. The hot water bottle doesn’t feel that level of heat at first, but it last longer.

Finally on the really bad days I’ve spoken with my GP and have Naproxen and Coedine. When it comes to talking to GPs especially about things like pain relief that you’ll get a lot further talking calmly about how your pain has affected you, take what your doctors suggests and try that - if that doesn’t work say over a couple of week/a month go back and explain that. Asking for certain medications outright is unlikely to get you very far. It may take time, but going with what your doctor suggests, trying their course of action, they are the experts after all, and they do want to help will hopefully get you to a place where you’ll be able to better manage your pain.

Good luck x
