Sotolol V Nebivolol
My partner was put on bisoporolol in October last year, this was done because he passed out at work in August, following investigation it was discovered that he had an irregular/ extra heart beat. One week on he collapsed after getting out of bed first thing in the morning, this happened again a week

Knowledge Isn't Enough
Hi Everyone! I've been reading and responding for several months, but this is my first OP. ADHD was diagnosed at 54, I'm almost 67 now. At the time, I was still working, and Vyvanse was a small miracle! After several years, I got breast cancer and stopped meds while I went through chemo and radiation

Lisinopril, A-Fib enlarged left atrium,
I was taking Diltiazem 60 mg 12HR ER Cap 2 times a day for A-fib and hypertension. I stopped it as doctor recommended when I had to take Paxlovid for Covid. I didn't get A-fib when I didn't go back to taking the Diltiazem and have been off of it for more than 2 months. I'm thinking of taking Lisinopril

ICD site sore
Hey all.I've had my ICD for almost 3 years now. Just wondering if anyone gets random soreness around the site? I don't get it all the time but sometimes it feels bruised or like I'm being pinched. It's very uncomfortable when it happens, also it can be anytime of the day. I've never knocked it and I

Amiodarone
I had Cardioversion on 30th August. Heart went into sinus rhythm after third attempt but unfortunately slipped back into AF after just one day. I had a call from cardiac nurse this afternoon telling me the plan is to put me onto Amiodarone and then try another Cardioversion. I understand that the Amiodarone

Alive, with thanks: update on nightmare
Thank you to everyone for replies. I'm still wading through them but trying to avoid spending time on the computer. I survived the weekend. Saturday night was so bad that the only thing that stopped me from ringing 999 overnight was the fear that I would be told there were no ambulances available. I

Longstanding Persistent AF
Hi All, I am new here, so bear with me!!...Diagnosed with AF 2 years ago ( HR 146, reduced to below 100 on treatment ) in A&E here in the UK. I was an active runner ( 5-10K races ) with a RHR of about 52. I am 68 , and I have hardly any symptoms. I had an ablation in the May ( this year ) which put

rogue beats
I had a catheter ablation on Wednesday. Up till now, I was not really getting many problems with my heart, but since early this morning, I’ve had quite a lot of episodes of missing heartbeats, some go on longer than others and it feels like my heart is going to stop. The beat is not the same as the

3 Failed Ablations
Hi Everyone I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Afib in September 2019, ( I wasn’t aware I had it as it the symptoms were vey mild) the Consultant recommended Bisoprolol but also put me on the waiting list for an Ablation, the Bisoprolol didn’t agree with me as I am a keen mountain biker and it was like

I didn't enjoy that at all. 73° and windy but more it was thar my legs felt heavy from start to finish. Think I had toxic tens from 0 -15 mins and 20 - 30 mins. Did consciously slow down once or twice when getting too puffed but I can confirm that having run for too long by accident last week has not

Nightmare with(out) flecainide. Cannot get help from NHS.
This is a follow-up to a post I made earlier this week, trying to figure out whether to take a previously unused flecainide prescription as a PIP. I was diagnosed with lone paroxysmal AF 10+ years ago (I was not quite 50) but it has not been a regular problem -- I didn't need regular meds. Due to the

Going off Eliquis
I had persistent AFIB for many years until I had an ablation procedure in 2022. It was successful and I have not had an AFIB episode in over a year. I check my sinus rhythm every day with my Kardia Mobile device and I am on 100Mg Flecainide per day. I am a 72-year-old man and very physically fit. Because
