24 hour monitor
My paroxysmal AF was not picked up on a 24 hour monitor. I was checked a couple of times over a 5 year timespan and told that I just had lots of ectopics. Finally, when it became more severe the GP eventually relented and booked me in for a seven day monitor whcich picked up the atrial fibrillation

Hi I saw my cardiologist today who told me my EF had dropped from 47% to 15 % in just under 3 years. This was measured by MRI. I am on the normal drugs Apixaban Entresto Dysopiramide. I’m well, still work and walk regularly. Within normal weight range. I have been diagnosed with HOCM for 35 years and

Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

Hello all, I was first diagnosed with heart failure in November 2017, had an ICD fitted 6 months later. Last June I was taken into hospital with sepsis, I went into septic shock twice and almost died twice, they suspected that those nasty little critters were hiding in the ICD. After returning home

I was only ever having short episodes lasting up to 8 hours, then on 13th October just gone I started with an episode which is still

Covid vax and AFIB
just as an FYI, I had a Covid vaccination (Pfizer) a couple of days ago and I developed AFIB within a few hours. It did resolve itself overnight after I took extra metoprolol.

ICD Firing
I’ve recently (6 weeks ago) had a icd fitted for VT. I am also in stubborn AF. This was all very sudden. I’m a 46 year old who has been active and fit previously. Last Wednesday I was out for a light run, and the ICD fired as my AF triggered it. I felt absolutely fine so the shock came as quite a, well
