ICD positioning

Hi Everyone, I have placed several posts following my partners ICD Implant at the End of Jan this year, mainly primary questions about it healing etc and what he can an can't do etc. However a couple of months down the line and wound healed great etc he keeps mentioning it's uncomfortable positioning. It digs in him when he lies on his side and can feel it moving Inside him. It's all connected and working with monitor. Prior to it's fitting he went to the gym regularly and does have chest pecks and it's as if it has no flesh skin to grip on to but wasn't sure if anyone else felt this way in the earlier months of fitting.

Hi yes I felt the same way when I had mine in 2019, but I think within less than a year that all stopped. Now I don’t even realise I have it .

Did you feel a bit of movement with it? Did the skin feel very thin at the top where they had inserted it?

Good morning MarieMarie1. It will depend on how far in they have placed the pacemaker in the shoulder muscle area. You should find in time that it will settle down and muscle and fatty tissue will stop the pacemaker from moving. If your still not happy mention it at the yearly check ups. Brian
