Does anyone know if using a neck fan can affect my ICD please.

My husband has an ICD and uses a neck fan on holiday. It has had no effect on his implant as these do not create a magnetic field, so are safe to use.

Anything near (6 inches) your defib. can affect it. However that`s what we were told 13 years ago. Technology changes.....so ask. If you have a hotline to the hospital, ask. If unsure about ANYTHING.......ASK.
