3 Failed Ablations
Hi Everyone I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Afib in September 2019, ( I wasn’t aware I had it as it the symptoms were vey mild) the Consultant recommended Bisoprolol but also put me on the waiting list for an Ablation, the Bisoprolol didn’t agree with me as I am a keen mountain biker and it was like

Knowledge Isn't Enough
Hi Everyone! I've been reading and responding for several months, but this is my first OP. ADHD was diagnosed at 54, I'm almost 67 now. At the time, I was still working, and Vyvanse was a small miracle! After several years, I got breast cancer and stopped meds while I went through chemo and radiation

Nightmare with(out) flecainide. Cannot get help from NHS.
This is a follow-up to a post I made earlier this week, trying to figure out whether to take a previously unused flecainide prescription as a PIP. I was diagnosed with lone paroxysmal AF 10+ years ago (I was not quite 50) but it has not been a regular problem -- I didn't need regular meds. Due to the

Going off Eliquis
I had persistent AFIB for many years until I had an ablation procedure in 2022. It was successful and I have not had an AFIB episode in over a year. I check my sinus rhythm every day with my Kardia Mobile device and I am on 100Mg Flecainide per day. I am a 72-year-old man and very physically fit. Because

Painful arms and shoulders
I went into afib in the early hours of Friday morning and I knew pretty much I would be in it for 30 hours plus. What was different this time was the arrythmia wasn't so severe, the heart rate remained under 100bpm often down to the 60s & 70s and although my BP was all over the place I could carry on

Paxlovid with Eliquis
What is the latest advice on taking Paxlovid for Covid if you are on an anticoagulant? Do you need to stop it or just be extra careful of bleeding or not take Paxlovid at all? I know you need to stop your statin drug while on it.

bnp level high, breathlessness and fluid in lungs. What does this mean?
hello everyone. I have posted relatively frequently, most recently because my weight loss surgery was cancelled due to high heart rate(120-130) in persistent af and breathlessness. The gp gave me additional bisoprolol which brought hr down to about 90. Breathlessness has continued, possibly due to

ICD AND DRIVING
Hi All, What's the score with driving with an ICD. I Have received conflicting advice. I believe you have to stop for 1 month after device fitting if icd fitted for precautionary reason or you had a ventricular arrhythmia without incapacity? I understand otherwise if shocked 6 month driving ban?Have

Back In AFib
Hi, I have been a member of this forum for years but not been for a while. I had a second ablation years ago and have had no AF at all until last night when I went into AF. I was able to see a doctor this morning who confirmed AF via an ECG, referred me to cardiology and put me back on Sotalol

Desperate for some advice
Hi, im hoping someine can relate.I was diagnosed with Endometriosis about 11 years ago and have had my left tube and ovary removed on my 3rd laparoscopy.
