I diagnosed with Flutter end of June 22 after a couple of trips to A&E. prescribed Edoxaban 30mg with Bisosporol 2.5 daily reduced to 1.25 mg daily as I already have low BP. Episodes of possible Flutter are happening at least once a week. I do have etopics apparently and one ECG showed narrow tachycardia

Unusual AF episode
I went out to post a letter this afternoon and was out for about 15 minutes. On my return I experienced what I thought were ectopics with some very mild chest discomfort. I took a 1lead Kardia to check and was surprised to see the "Atrial Fibrillation" indication with a heart rate of 93bpm. The AF

weird Kardia ecg
went into af just before midnight, but was dozing on and off and thought it would be gone by morning. Well it hasn’t, so I have just used my single lead Kardia and the ecg shows like this! I have never had it like this, only erratic rate with pretty smooth bits in between, if that makes sense. I am

Palpitations and Covid , Betablocker Update
I just wanted to update my experiences from earlier this year-please see previous posts. I started with a virus-possibly Covid-then followed worrying palpitations/SOB/light headedness. Lat flow taken 10 days after the virus started showed negative, but could have been too late to be accurate. The virus

A and E Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.
Woke up at 5 am Sunday morning with severe pain under right shoulder blade which remained all day despite maxing out on paracetamol. In the evening I dug out some codeine tablets I had for sciatica last year and added those with similarly little improvement. Monday was more of the same except by now

I am confused! Ectopic beats v Atrial fibrilation?
My husband's GP felt his pulse and said he had Atrial Fibrilation and must go on blood thinners. He didn't suggest an ecg or any further tests. Surely this is rather highhanded? It could be just "ectopics"?

Labile BP
I have been on meds for high BP for about 20yrs. Then suddenly 18mths ago my BP started to fluctuate, I.e. AM before getting out of bed was 169/100 and then by 10AM could be as low as 75/50. This didn’t last for long, but obviously felt very dizzy, light headed, sick etc. I would sit down and wait for

Non typical symptoms of a heart attack
In June I had some stomach/ chest pains which I thought was indigestion and rang 111 and they advised me to go to A&E . When I got there they took my blood and ecg. My ecg was ok apparently. I had my blood results and they said I’d had a heart attack. I was admitted to a ward and had a number of tests

ECT for Bipolar Disorder
I’m new here so please be kind. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 about two months ago and I’m starting to think Lamotrigine is not enough. Has anyone ever tried electro-convulsive therapy? During a stint in a psych ward I saw this treatment help others but I’m honestly afraid of it.

Tight chest ~ waiting for angiogram
Hi everyone. I went into A&E last weekend with chest tightness and some breathing difficulty, along with some other symptoms. They were brilliant, kept me in for a couple of days, lots of ECGs, a chest X-ray and contrast CT to rule out a PE, which was clear. Long story short, ECG shows some ischemic

Did anyone here know that Sleep Apnea can cause AF?
hubby has had AF for 3years.not really doing well. Originally it was off and on. Didn't see a consultant for 2years as he had left for Machester(UK)Cardiology. Finally it all came to ahead and has had 1 ablation (failed) in May 2022. Put on amiadarone till next ablation August (2022). That failed

After asking for a second opinion I have managed to get referred back to my previous consultant who is back from maternity leave. I discussed the last 6 months with her and the need for PET -CT ect and the next drug. She has stated I can not have Leflunomide in Spain with private health care and decided
