Help!
I recently was told by my GP that she thinks I have Atrial Fibrillation & I have a High risk of stroke/heart attack & I am waiting for results of ECG & 24 hour ambulatory ECG. I have been told that results will not be available for two & a half months & my anxiety levels are through the roof. I don't

LINQ ECG monitor query
Hi, I am due to have a LINQ device fitted following a severe out of the blue cryptogenic stroke in March. Subsequent ECG's including a 7 day ECG have given poor results but not shown anything ie AF. I know research on use of LINQ devices has been beneficial in identifying periodic AF.ECG'S have identified

Pulsating Stomach1
I've been having breathing difficulties for months. Lung hyperinflation, chest X ray says. Everything else normal, I mean Spiro, ECG, Echo. Chest feels tight, as if some pressure is on it, and because of it I can't take a full breathe, making me feel breatheless, always, without fail, worse at night.

Newbie first post on here.
Morning all, hope everyone is well and warm this cold Sunday morning. Just thought I'd introduce myself as I've just recently joined the forum but I'm also on the bhf and health unlocked site too so here's a brief outline of my journey so far. I've been under the cardiologist for 3 years now with ectopics

An Update after Echo Stress test
Background, had 20 beat run of "possibly dangerous" NSVT at end of November, had stress echo ordered by cardiologist. Am in process of seeking ablation consult at the end of this month so was sidetracked. Just heard from my doctor this morning about my stress test from Thursday. Let's start with my

Thanks for all your support & update from yesterday
Just an update as everyone has been so kind in replying with support, I’ve seen the GP had some bloods taken and saw the cardiologist again this evening. Following an ECG & heart scan all seems to be well. No fluid in the pericardial spaces has happened with the last two ablations. My heart is remaining

sudden high blood pressure and breathlessness
so my BP (usually 120/75 ish) suddenly shot up to 204/110 and despite various medications it’s currently hovering at 160/95. I was swimming a mile 4 times a week and now I can’t walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I’ve had a 10second ECG which my dr said is fine and I was

Bradycardia
Hello everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I’m in my late 20’s and have recently been told that on a recent 7 day ECG it was picked up that I had Mobitz 2 AV block. This came as quite a surprise to me (and my cardiologist, due to my age presumably!) For this reason and my on-going symptoms it was

Cardioversion for Flutter now
Hi all, I went to Cardiologist today who put me on ECG and said my AF has gone... the Flecainide worked but I did a running session before I took it to see if I could shock it back into Sinus maybe the combo of both worked. However she detected Flutter, which is new to me and possibly caused by the Flecainide

newbie diagnosed with ectopic beats, but also paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
Had slow heart beat for 5 days with slight flutterings. Thought it was my Afib starting again. Had ecg at drs yesterday and was told it was ectopic beats. I’m not taking any medication , was on 2.5mg Bisoprolol as pill in pocket, but advised to stop it. It’s horrible, I have them all day,not sure why

Ectopic Beats and Afib recurrence
Hi All, I am now more than 6 months out of the ablation and the 3 months follow up was okay. I am on bisoprolol. Lately, I started feeling many ectopics and as of last 3-4 days they seem to be with me all the time. Two weeks ago, I went to an ER following a sleepless night of anxiety (ECG no Afib and

Mindset is changing
Things are going well so far. Instead of drinking almost everyday day I’ve been able to use alco free beers most of the time. Drunk twice since NYD. Friday night and last night because it was my birthday… I drank in the house and chose for the first time in years not to go out to the pub to celebrate

The monster has struck!
Good news this morning -I was told that I might be discharged tomorrow. All my monitors were removed in the morning including the temporary pacemaker and ECG. I went for a couple of walks on the ward which went quite well. I checked my pulse rate manually afterwards and all was steady at about 70bpm

pramipexole (containing Dopamine), can it contribute to heart regurgitation?
I recently had an echocardiogram after chest x-ray for breathlessness and it was thought to show an enlarged heart , but later found it wasn’t, hence the ecg. It has shown that I have some regurgitation which GP said nothing to worry about but I have read that Dopamine can be a cause of this. Can anyone
