Fast-changing EF or typo?

In October in hospital my Echocardiogram gave me an EF of <25%, as recorded in my hospital records, obtained by a GDPR Request. 6 days later, while still admitted, a cardiac MRI found my EF was 52%.

Now at home, my cardiologist says the latest echo shows 52% EF, so he reckons the 25% EF was a typo.

Is he right or can EFs change that quick?
