Diuretic

Given drugs to get heart rate reduced plus diuretic to clear fluid. I believe I’ve also been given a beta blocker.

If we want to stay hydrated, seems like it would be difficult while on diuretic therapy for another medical condition.

I was wondering if dandelion is ok to drink as its diuretic and might aid get rid of excess water. However i read that it helps detoxify the liver and get rid of excess oestrogen. Also that it contains oestrogen like chemicals. So i am not sure if it would help me or decrease oestrogen levels?

I started back on Sinemet two days ago; 100/25 One half tab TID for one week, then one tab TID for one week then 1.5 TID for one week then a recheck. The neuro said it's important to take it with food. When I tried Sinemet last year I remember something about taking it on an empty stomach--either

I spoke to the doctor about using a diuretic to improve the situation but she indicated that it wouldn't make a great deal of difference - I'd still have some water retention and I'd still urinate a lot.

Because of foot swelling cardiologist just started him on a strong diuretic. Will this affect the Venclexta?I did read somewhere that thiazide type diuretics or loop diuretics should not be used. He is taking Bumetanide.

However, being off a diuretic for two weeks probably has caused my feet and ankles to swell and redden four days ago. I have never had this happen to me before. My question is do I wait until I see him again in a week or so. I'm thinking o putting in a call to his nurse soon.

But coffee is also a diuretic, so is any higher increase in potassium cancelled out by being urinated out?

I've read that liver disease can cause this (imbalance of testosterone and oestrogen) but it can also be a side effect of Spironolactone diuretic medication. I have cirrhosis and also take Spironolactone for pitting oedema in my lower legs and feet (the medication is very effective).

Hello, I am curious to know if anyone has experience of lowering tense (6-9ltr) ascites through diuretic and bringing it under control. And if yes, how long it took and which diuretic/dosage was used.

Unfortunately I do have a weight problem thanks to the above thyroid condition and also I have to take a diuretic. But doing my best to lose weight. Anyone had similar results or could explain them better? The GP is not referring me to a consultant and given me medication for acute gout.

I have quite a bit of fluid in my belly and my doctor has me on Aldactone. However the dosage seems too low to me and I have not started pee away my fluid. My doctor is being conservative which is good but I'm convinced that to feel better I need to get rid of fluid ASAP. Anyone else take a long time

I am now on a diuretic, but it's not working, so we might try a higher dose or something else. Btw, this problem preexisted COVID, so I don't think pandemic-related stress is an issue. Maybe it's just the stress of life or of cancer in particular.

I have been told to take spironolactone 25mg daily, which is also a diuretic, so it will be hard to tell.
