When to take zinc, selenium supplements
I take my thyroid meds in the morning when I wake up, along with my antidepressants, my vitamin B complex tablet and my pill. I take my vitamin B12 and vitamin D with my breakfast, a couple of hours after I get up. I take my ferrous fumarate supplement before going to bed, along with 1000mg vitamin C

Ferrous Fumarate - availability according to a pharmacist ...
I popped into a Lloyds pharmacy (attached to a Surgery) this morning, asked for some Ferrous Fumarate and the Pharmacist told me that it would not be available until the end of June due to manufacturing difficulties. He claimed that there was only one manufacturer. I really don't know what to do, apparently

Ferritin good. Saturation in range but low
I am on Nature Throid 2 grains. I've not had a problem getting onto this. Was on T3 only for 6 months before this. Prior to all of this I had been on 125mcgs levothyroxine for 28years and very stable. Suddenly it stopped working for me and I ended up with very low TSH. Very high T4 and low T3. Endo put

Cortisol test and Ferrous Fumarate
I got a call from my doctor today to tell me my cortisol level is good and I do not have Cushings. Well that's one less thing to worry about. Willl pick up a copy of the result next time I am in the area. I have been informed today that there is a serious shortage of Ferrous Fumarate. The gp told

Ferrous Fumarate tablets - confused
When I first bought these I'm certain the pharmacist said that they only had the smaller ones in stock, ie 210mg. Just been to buy some more in a different chemist and the pharmacist told me that 210mg is the only size, for anything more the tablet changes name and a prescription would be needed. Is

Update
Hi, I posted my results not long back and since had some repeat blood tests. GP wanted to reduce my Levo based on TSH from 150 to 125. Saw my GP Friday and after a heated 45 minute appointment he agreed the 150 was the correct dose for me. I said that TSH based dosing was pointless and I would no longer

How often to check blood levels?
In the last week I've started taking Jarrow B12 and been on ferrous fumarate for around 3 weeks due to low ferritin and B12. As posted in other threads my TSH is 2.5 (0.3-4.5) and my T4 is 9.1 (7.0-17.0). My ferritin is 27 (15-300) and B12 is 233 (150-900). I have felt dreadful for a few years, but

Blood test results...low ferritin
Hi, i posted on here recently as I was wondering whether b12 deficiency could be responsible for any of my symptoms. I was diagnosed with ME 15 years ago and have been struggling for over 3 years to get past the last relapse. It was suggested I could put my recent blood test results on here and would

Test Results
Hi, on 1st October I had some blood tests done and the results were as follows: TSH 0.26 (0.4-5.5) Free T4 18.3 (11.0-26.0) Free T3 3.8 (3.0-6.0) Ferritin 15 (10-291) My GP was happy with my thyroid results although personally I think I would feel better if my free T3 was higher. She put me on ferrous

GP appointment - mixed result
Hi, I came back from the doctor today and I presented a list of symptoms to her. She acknowledged the dark circles and pale skin (although my appearance today doesn't compare to last night's) and looked at my ferritin. She asked if I take anything for it and I said the Floradix. She told me that wasn't

No better after b12 boosters.
After asking GP for the b12 , ferritin etc , the results came back out of range for both of these, and I was immediately started on jabs and ferrous fumarate and told jabs would be for life. The doc told me "I would feel like a new woman" or not? Well guess what I feel the same as before if not worse

After my depressing post yesterday, I managed to get an appointment today with another doc in the practice. My goodness he was brilliant! I had my 1st b12 jab today and appointments for another 4 for now. He also sent me for more blood tests ( quite a few not sure what) He is also contacting a gastro

Cyanosis (blue fingers) and incontinence with B12 deficiency?
I am becoming more and more convinced that I have a functional B12 deficiency and will be arranging an active B12 test in short order. However, I am also currently being treated for iron deficiency (ferritin of 4) and despite starting on ferrous fumarate 305mg once a day I do not feel better; if anything

Treatment for iron-deficiency anaemia: would it affect the dose of thyroxine?
I've just started on ferrous fumarate for iron-deficiency anaemia (IDA). I feel more tired now than I did before, and this has got me thinking: does treatment of IDA have any effect on free T4 levels? Is it possible that by treating the IDA one needs to dial up or down the current dose of thyroxine?

Been prescribed ferrous fumarate and vitamin d
I've managed to persuade the duty GP at my surgery that the results of my recent French blood tests are something to be at least mildly concerned about: ferritin 4 and vitamin d 17. He really didn't seem that worried by either. Anyhow, he's prescribed ferrous fumarate 305 mg per day for 30 days and
