Can surplus/leftover dialysis supplies be donated to others?
Hello everyone, I recently ended Peritoneal
Dialysis
as I was blessed to receive a transplant just a few weeks ago. I have surplus supplies (solutions, hardware, sterile gauze pads, etc.) that I am hoping I can donate to someone who could use them for their
dialysis
treatments.

The Truth about Home Hemodialysis
She is Ex-Army with I believe over 20 years of
dialysis
experience. She is no nonsense and that's just fine with me. And the other is my Med Tech. We just love her to pieces. She also has multiple years of experience. I train with my husband in a private room.

Dialysis also help with lung fluid removal??
My 86-year-old Father is the one on
dialysis
. He recently had pneumonia and evidently has fluid in 40-50% of his right lung. I have read that
dialysis
can help pull fluid from other body areas, such as the lungs, than is typically considered. Anyone had experience with this?

Fibrin in peritoneal dialysis drain fluid
Hi all! I’m back again with a concern regarding my dad who started PD in July. Recently he is having some fibrin (white chunky strands) in his drain fluid. I did some research on it and it’s associated with elevated fibrinogen in the plasma which is furthermore associated with bad outcomes in all of

Financial burden
since I started
dialysis
, I have had to cut down my working hours to just 2 days a week as I don’t have the energy and time anymore due to my countless hospital appointment and treatments.

Next appointment in 6 mo's & says, while there are never any guarantees, but as long as I continue this path he can't see me ever needing
Dialysis
. OMG, Praise God. I've been so scared these 6 Mo's (and more), not having any guidance is a real stressor & since I have no family, no support.

She is currently on a ventilator,

due to complete kidney failure caused by the sepsis, so many wires everywhere and machines. We are all worried sick and its breaking my heart to see her like that.

Update
Then multiorgan failure kidney
dialysis
And the wasting away of his muscles and coming out of the coma and how he is now. I don't understand. You see on trauma programmes patients being treated straight away for infections and heart attacks and often they recover.

Just getting started in this process.
He hopes to get a transplant as he won't do
dialysis
. I'm hoping to be considered as a donor, but don't know anything about the health requirements. My main questions are concerning my obesity and former status as a smoker and as an alcoholic.

Great for
dialysis
but could lead to serious heart issues in the future. Now I have to get an operation to rectify it and might have to get a line put in temporarily🙈 It's just so frustrating when staff don't listen to you.
