I recently ended Peritoneal Dialysis as I was blessed to receive a transplant just a few weeks ago.
I have surplus supplies (solutions, hardware, sterile gauze pads, etc.) that I am hoping I can donate to someone who could use them for their dialysis treatments.
I am new to this online community and am wondering if this is a common practice and is there a best process to accomplish this?
Your feedback would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thank you

Wonderful news! My hubby has a transplant too! We had two dialysis centers who knew my hubby (we moved to another house so we were forced to switch centers). The very busy one happily took the dialysate. The PD nurse drove to our house to pick it up. The other one refused, that nurse said she had ordered enough for her center. I've noticed some give the solutions to veterinarians - they use PD on animals in some cases. But don't be upset if no one wants anything. PD solutions are considered prescriptions and technically can't be passed around to others because those and accompanying items may have been tampered with, etc. At one point, I watered my plants with dialysate (it doesn't have any serious chemicals in it) and also sent it down the drain. No point in keeping it around, it expires. Anything else in sealed boxes, I donated to charity. We kept the masks and gloves.
Thank you, Darlenia and everyone who replied to my post. I will double check with my Center and look into your other suggestions. Appreciate the great tips!
