Does anyone else feel kinda gobbled up by dialysis? I feel like it ate my life.
I just recently started hooking myself up early in the afternoons on
dialysis
days and now I work the same time I'm doing HD. But I can't always do that because of afternoon meetings, etc. regardless it has helped free up quite a few hours. How do you all deal with it? Would love some ideas!

Help my Momma
Moving forward, she was fine for a few days, had
Dialysis
the following Tuesday. Right before her
dialysis
she began to have horrible muscle spasms all over.

Kicked off List
My one kidney is working better than some other people's with lower eGFR than mine that are not even on
dialysis
yet. I take furosemide when I miss going or on the weekend. I feel yuck after
dialysis
instead of better.

Hi is it normal to be switched from “acute kidney damage” to “renal failure” even when kidneys still function & lab work from clinic is good
Went over a week without
dialysis
when my chest catheter malfunctioned and had no ill side effects Labs seem to always be “good” news or at least that my numbers are within the clinic’s liking.

First day of dialysis
Im a newbie to the
dialysis
thread. Just about to start my first
dialysis
today. Gfr is at 6% but apart from fatigue, I feel fine. I am an absolute bag of nerves. I have been to the
dialysis
unit for an induction but that seems to have made me more anxious.

I have been putting off
dialysis
cause I been feeling super. But I’m realizing that when I should of started probably at 10 even though I was feeling good and no system , so just be warn a little stomach virus that doesn’t bring someone down could bring you down

I have a severe axonal lesion of the peroneal nerve in my lower left leg and foot. I am interested in gaining more info on my condition.
In addition I was put on kidney
dialysis
because I had damaged my kidneys. My blood count returned to normal and with the help of physiotherapists I was able to mobilise on a Zimmer frame.

Queen in work done mode.
I’m not on
dialysis
but lower back cramping has been a thing, and it hasn’t hit me in a while. Also my neck is still feeling pinched. Feeling a little flustered. Also might be this paper I have to write for school. Really not feeling motivated.

It's official - PD Catheter is in place
But my journey into the world of
dialysis
has officially begun! Whoo hoo! I may copy this and post some of it in other areas of the site for others to read who are in the general Kidney Disease list, so I apologize for the duplication to those in both groups.

I don't like PD
I have been doing PD
dialysis
for 5 days and I don't like it because of the cramping is this unusual? I feel like I want to go back to doing hemodialysis in the center. The only thing I do like is PD is not four hours period. Any advice?

Another bothersome result.
Do antibiotics and infection cause high urea and do fellow readers think I am approaching
dialysis
now. I am getting very scared. I have an appointment with the consultant on Tuesday and I am just not sure what is down the road now.

Traveling with Dialysis
I recently flew to another state to visit my mom and while traveling I thought about how it could be done while on PD and how best to go about it. It seemed impossible given all the flight delays and changing gates that went on. Has anyone done this successfully?

Help needed regarding the process of finding living donor
I have been on
dialysis
for 1 1/2 years and now am told that I need to find a living donor. The wait list for my type O blood is 7 years : ((((( I had been on the liver and kidney list for a year for a deceased donor, received 2 calls, and now it seems my liver has regenerated itself.

LOSING HAIR.....AGAIN
It is very annoying I didn't notice this much hair falling out until I was put on Sensipar/cinacalcet again (took it for years for parathyroid issues while on
dialysis
, but now post-transplant was prescribed it for high calcium). Anyone else notice lots of hair loss months after a transplant?
