Vasculitis – GPA
I had 8 Plasmapheresis, numerous
dialysis
, and since October 2017 I now do daily in home
dialysis
using my peritoneal membrane. My kidneys produce urine and that’s about all they do. It appears my nephrons were damaged by the ANCA that attacked the major blood vessels in both of my kidneys.

Problems with a certain dialysis nurse.
I've been having problems with a certain
dialysis
nurse. She is very unprofessional. Shes rude to me snd a couple other patients. She doesn't wash her hands like shes suppose to and I've noticed her stripping machines of their tubing and disposing of it in the biohazard box.

Has anyone with GPA - vasculitis gotten their kidneys back?
I was diagnosed on March 18, 2017 and have been on
dialysis
ever since. I currently do CPD
dialysis
while I sleep. I really want my kidneys back, but I am ready to give up on that hope and get my transplant process going.

Why do we cramp after dialysis & how come Drs want to suck out every ounce of fluid in the body especially what is needed in our bones
I've been sick all my life so living with a transplant is my norm not living on
dialysis
. I will be 57 on Feb 11th & don't know how I should feel. I want my independence back but living on disability is very hard. I need to move & want another car but that is not going to happen anytime soon.

Chronic kidney disease stage 3 - help
I don't feel like the doctors have given me enough information, and am worried I may end up on
dialysis
at some point. I'm only 41, so not particularly old. Anyone with any advice would be appreciated Thank you x

My aunt in ICU on multiple machines
Due to mutli organ failure they have placed a ECMO, CRRT and a
dialysis
machine. The doctors are talking about pulling the plug in two days. Should she have more time??

I am CKD Stage 2 and How Long I would Be Able To Survive until Starting My Dialysis
How long will I go to Stage 5 or
Dialysis
as now I am with Stage 2 CKD? 3. Is it possible that the result (GFR) is because of dehydration? As I do consume less water about a glass or two daily in past.

Severely swollen feet and ankles with fibro
I had to have plasma
dialysis
for ten days so that I could have an emergency thyroidectomy. I’m wondering if it’s fibro or something to do with my illness last year. I know the cold wet weather seems to infuriate most people’s fibro but I’ve never had this before.

Dialysis update
I'm excited to say that I'm an official Perotineal
Dialysis
patient and my chest catheter was removed yesterday! My levels have stablized besides my potassium, which is on the lower side (nothing a banana can't fix). I was also told by my coordinator that I can officially be listed!

Long lasting transplant
Ive been searching for a donor since 2014 and ill be starting
dialysis
soon. I’ve had some serious heath issues since my transplant due to the meds but getting a transplant is totally worth it!
