It's a hard thing to take and wrap your mind around I'm sorry for the news but know that the best is to get as prepared and research as much as you can. Are you going to be doing peritoneal dialysis or going to a dialysis center?
Sorry to hear. What really helped me was to staying positive and surrounding myself with supportive family and friends. I know it will be hard at first adjusting but please remain positive and everything will be just fine.
Please follow the Diet Plan given by the Nutritionist at the Dialysis Center. I was taking 22 units of Insulin / day, but slowly after a year and half I was off Insulin !!
Start Dialysis ASAP as you are put on Kidney Transplant List once you start dialysis.
Good Luck & God Bless.
I truly understand how you feel. Best thing to start with is to ask your doctor as many questions as you can. Don’t hold back on anything. Also, get your family and close friends involved. Having their support will truly make the process easier. Just remember God will never put more on us that we can bare. Praying for you.
I am so sorry. My fiance went on dialysis 9 months ago and we pro actively search for a donor. If his mom is around 66 yrs of age, could she donate?
