Another disappointing endocrinologist - Cornwall
I have sourced T3 privately, but now don’t think I necessarily need it from blood tests, and was there about my low cortisol/
DHEA
, not my T3.

DHEA
I have a very low
DHEA
result and have been told to take a
DHEA
supplement. The same for Progesterone. This is in order to sort my Adrenals before I proceed on to NDT. Since I am post menopausal I am questioning the use of these hormones. Has anyone had any experience with these supplements?

Going abroad but can only do a short protocol. Any experience with short protocol?
She also said to take
DHEA
, melatonin and coq10. I’m already taking solgar ubiquinol but not sure about the other two. A different private consultant told me it will be waste of money and supplements cannot reverse egg quality. I’m on a healthy diet etc and take the usual vitamins.

Dhea and saliva test
Could anyone advise please, do I not take thyroid meds for
Dhea
blood test? For the saliva cortisol, I take meds as normal? Should these two tests be done on the same day? Taking 87.5mcg levo, endo told me to reduce lio to 1.25 x 2 per day from 2.5 x 2 per day...

Test results, need advice please
Hi All, I just joined this group. I'm more often on the thyroid group but I just did a blood test to check out my sex hormones as per the advice in Paul Robinson's book 'The Thyroid Patient' manual'. I am post menopausal, age 70 plus. I don't take any HRT currently, just thyroid hormones. Anyway

T3 has gone down and T4 over range now
My
DHEA
was low, so my Endo has put me on 25mg of
DHEA
each day. Can anyone help me make sense of the results below please? I don’t want to reduce my dose as 175mcg didn’t do it. I tried T3 but that didn’t work for me either.

Progesterone Receptor.
Abiraterone inhibits the enzyme that converts those hormones into downstream androgens such as
DHEA
, testosterone [T] & DHT. This presumable leads to higher than normal levels of pregnenolone & progesterone. Does that matter? The new study claims that progesterone is indeed bad for PCa patients.

Inspiration, hopeful stories and what to do next
During our time out of this, we're looking at what to do next; I've just started on
DHEA
, already taking CoEnzymeQ10 and folic acid (for the past 6 months) Is it worth looking at a NK cell test? Hormone tests for myself and husband? DNA fragmentation test for my husband?

Cortisol spikes at night - low DHEA
DHEA
is also low, although I am on 25mcg daily (prescribed by my Endo, taken at 10am). have central hypothyroidism and am on 175mcg a day taken first thing in the morning. I have trouble sleeping and am very tired during the day. I am also very anxious. What do I do with my cortisol?

BFN 3rd round
This round we did testosterone priming (before that we used
DHEA
) and clexane after transfer, one time we tried embryo glue. Any advice? perhaps we need to try a different donor?

High FSH results of 30
It’s been five years of trying for a baby and one MC but I feel I am making a little progress with supplements and just started
DHEA
. My scans from last week show healthy kidneys but my pelvic results I am getting next week.

DHEA or not
Took
DHEA
this time. Said grade was 4 and 5, 5 being the worst. But they said it was difficult to grade them. My understanding with
DHEA
is it is meant to help the embryo quality however, the only time I took it we had our worst graded embryos throughout the whole journey.

Should I take DHEA?
Fertility consultant said it’s up to me if I take
dhea
. My clinic won’t test
Dhea
levels. Where do I go to get relevant blood tests? Is it
DHEA
-s and testosterone that I need tested? Any ladies here that didn’t take
dhea
, and with low amh that managed to have a successful cycle?
