Regenerus Adrenal hormone results help?

Hi everyone,

I have just received my Adrenal + dha saliva test results from Regenerus and am wondering if anyone could possibly interpret the results for me? I see they come back as 'normal' but it doesn't feel normal so am wondering if I am not understanding what is going on. Am currently on 2.5 grains of NDT a day split into AM and PM doses.

I assumed my cortisol levels would be high as my nervous system feels 'on edge' from the moment I wake up until I am finally able to go to sleep. My body feels really tense and especially at these times of day it sky rockets.

Saliva test taken on day 22 of my cycle...

Cortisol AM30 15 nmol/L (Optimal 14.0 – 25.0) (Reference interval 7.0 – 30.0)

Cortisol Noon 7.1 nmol/L (Optimal 5.0 – 10.0) (Reference interval 2.1 – 14.0)

Cortisol Evening 2.3 nmol/L (Optimal 2.0 – 5.0) (Reference interval 1.5 – 8.0)

Cortisol Night 1.4 nmol/L (Optimal 1.0 – 4.0) (Reference interval 0.33 – 7.0)

DHEA* 229 pg/mL (Reference interval 106 – 300)

My endo consultant said he will give me something called 'LDN' in my next consultation end of this month, maybe that will help with the 'on edge' feeling?

Thank you x

Any chance you can add an image of the graphic, that makes it easier to see how well (or not) you follow the normal "curve".

Thanks, so much easier to get an idea when you see the actual result on a graph 😊

Well, I'm envious, looks a lot better than mine!

Optimal levels according to rt3-adrenals.org/cortisol_t... are:

• Morning at the top of the range - yours is at the lower end of the optimal range and 34.78% through the reference interval, optimal would be nearer 25

• Noon approximately 75% of the range - yours is 42.02% through the reference interval, optimal woud be nearer 11

• Evening close to 50% of the range - yours is 12.31% through the reference interval, optimal would be nearer 4.8

• Nighttime at the bottom of the range - yours is good

DHEA seems good.

Their comments say "reasonably adequate".

You might benefit from increasing the first three results a bit, I can't help with that because I've never found anything that has raised mine to a decent level. Maybe try an adrenal cocktail - recipes can be found by a Google search.

I'm afraid I have no knowlede of LDN but there are members who use it so maybe make a new post if you have any questions about that.

Thank you, SeasideSusie 😘 I am sorry for my late response. You have been so helpful to my journey with providing very helpful replies. It has really helped me understand what to ask my Endo Consultant and where I need to go next. Thank you very much. I have been put on Low Dose Naltrexone for my inflammation, which will hopefully help my Cortisol levels. My Endo is extremely helpful and wants me to take it slowly as soon as I jump ahead everything flares up.

Thank you again x

Are you now absolutely strictly gluten free

At least 80% of Hashimoto’s patients are not coeliac but find gluten free diet helps or is essential

Vitamin D and folate were deficient

Have you retested vitamin levels since

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Looking for vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

Folate and ferritin at least half way through range

Thank you, SlowDragon.

My latest results show that my Folate and Vitamin D levels have more than doubled what they were.

I still have a lot of inflammation, only on the right-side of my body. I find it very strange. So, my Endo now has me on Low Dose Naltrexone; 1.5mg for 2 months and 3mg for a further 2 months.

Thank you for all your help x
