In case it’s relevant, I also have TSI antibodies 2.6 U/L (Range < 2.00), my cortisol levels are consistently high (morning blood, night saliva, but normally suppressed with
dexamethasone

Steroid use in Glioblastoma Battle
However, I spoke to the GP and we upped his
Dexamethasone
dose from 4mg to 6mg a day and it was like a new man had appeared. He is out of bed for 7 hours a day now, has taken quite a few steps with the zimmer and is talking more and wants to try and use a toilet again.

Update on dad: no chemo yet!
But from what I know, he’s been on prednisone, Zytiga,
dexamethasone
, hormone injections, radiation, etc. His PSA was at bay for many years until the past year where it very slowly started to creep back up.

Post Splenectomy
Prednisone,,,
dexamethasone
.....IVIG.....Rituximab.....Revolade.......BUT lots of side effects. Seven months ago I had my spleen removed. Since then my platelets are hovering around 20 - 30 with no medications. I have not had any issues with bleeding or bruising. I am in my 70’s.

Follow up to: Help I’m not sure what to do next.
So he offered a steroid injection 120mm
dexamethasone
immediately as this would help to identify if my main issue is flare or if there is something else going on. I have not read this as a treatment for flare so wondered if any you have been offered this?

Dexamethasone transition - process?
As a follow up to my last post, our MO has prescribed 0.5mg of
dexamethasone
to be taken with Zytiga. That's miracle #1! Miracle #2 is that we got an appointment with Dr. Deanmeade at Johns Hopkins to discuss BAT.

For Littlepom: Reply from my MP
The letter detailed cheerfully all that the Government has done to protect the most vulnerable- lots of vaccines, new medications (
dexamethasone
or tocilizumab anyone?) and antivirals. Lots of older people, care home residents and the immunosuppressed will get the booster -hooray.

3rd Rituximab Infusion One to Go!
The infusion was stopped,
dexamethasone
, a steroid was added, my immune system calmed down and the slow drip began again.

Lumbar nerve impingement
After
dexamethasone
and oxycodone, the intense pain went away. My body seemed to compensate by tightening muscles on the left side of the lumbar. This shifted pain and weakness to my left leg, with bad pain where the outer quadricep attaches to my outer knee.

My Jevtana/Carboplatin results to date. Plus participation in Bipolar Androgen Therapy testing
In our experience, some measures which can sometimes ameliorate toxicity are the prophylactic use of a drug used under the brand names Neupogen, Zarxio, and Nivestym to treat neutropenia (a lower-than-normal number of white blood cells), to prevent infection, (G-CSF), extending the duration of

Next Treatment Step
On Oct. 2021 my MO switched me from prednisone to
dexamethasone
, which did not seem to help, as PSA increased from 0.27 to 0.45 to 0.57 to 0.74 (as of 1/20/22). See my profile for more details. I had a PSMA scan last November, which showed uptake in prostate and lymph nodes, but no spinal mets.

Eczema, Rosacea or both?
Hello all, I'm new here. After having several appointments with the GP with no result I wanted to seek some advice online before splashing the cash on a private dermatologist. I'll start by saying I've had eczema all my life (25, male) and as I've gotten older it's been manageable with a topical steroid

Rituximab, given weekly for 4 weeks experiences?
This will include
dexamethasone
with the treatment to reduce any allergic reactions. I know each treatment is different for everyone, but I am wondering what it was like for folks. Thank you!

Post rituximab drop in immunoglobulins
I had severe platelet and neutrophil levels at diagnosis, and they did not recover until 4 days of high-dose
dexamethasone
after my eighth rituximab infusion. I am now back in mild neutropenia and my immunoglobulins have dropped below the lower limit of normal. Have othes seen this?

Zytiga and dexamethasone
I am interested in learning more about switching from prednisone to
dexamethasone
with your zytiga as a way to get more use from the zytiga. My husband’s psa is rising and the Dr. mentioned this as a possible next step. I appreciate any information.

My Oligometastatic Journey Update
The Lupron, the chemo, the
dexamethasone
, the IMRT, the Zytiga yes I guess it was a load in retrospect, but I knew what I had to do in order to do well with it. I have a great marriage, good friends and family, mostly great diet, spiritual life, work I love.
