ICD implant
Good morning. I have CPVT but just recently I have had a ICD implant because I was getting 7 second intermitting pauses in my heart rhythm. Does anyone else fell the little pulses? They don't hurt at all but make me aware of my heart rhythm. Do they eventually settle down. Thank you

I was recently diagnosed with afib and am taking Eliquis and propofenone. I am scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks and am wondering if having afib makes the surgery more dangerous. Thanks for any advice or info.

sleep apnea and afib
According to monitoring with apple watch, my over night pulse rate often goes into the low 40s. In addition when I check in the morning I am often in afib. I have sleep apea and use a CPAP. Just wondering if anyone else has these low overnight pulse rates and any linkage to sleep apnea triggering afib

Slip Up!
After posting numerous comments on this forum discussing my success at avoiding Afib through controlling gas buildup, I feel that it is important to be candid about any setbacks. This past Saturday, I was awakened at 4:30 AM with Afib and remained in arrhythmia for 8 hours. I waited it out and have

Update - Bisoprolol to Diltiazem
Just to update from my previous post where I mentioned changing from Bisoprolol to Diltiazem. I had been on 1.25 mg Bisoprolol for about 5 months but hated the awful side effects (tiredness and shortness of breath) and found I was in AF most days, even tried Flecainide twice daily but that did nothing

Ablation
Here we go, I was expecting this when I saw my EP last night. Having breakthrough episodes of afib lasting over 30 hours whilst in Sotalol. My EP is not concerned about the frequency (paroxysmal afib) but the fact that they are lasting 30 hours plus he isn't happy with So, I was placed on his NHS waiting

When is a second ablation advisable?
I was dx with Paroxysmal Afib in 2018. After the usual regimen trials of just Metoprolol, Flecainide, Flecainide with Metoprolol for rate control, etc. I received a Cryoablation on March 16 of last year (2022). I had two afib episodes a month or so after the ablation which was explained as being in

Bisoprolol and low heart rate
As my heart palpitations were becoming unbearable, I finally agreed to try bisoprolol, just 1,25mg daily. Well, the good news is that the palpitations and the breathlessness have almost gone . The bad news is that my resting heart rate is down to 45 in the afternoon, going up to 58 when I'm active.

Back to work after icd fitted
Hi. My husband suffers from AF and 7 years ago, was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Has an ef of 25%. He is a groundworker/machine driver by trade. His Dr has said he will be unable to return to his work as he would need a fit to work medical, which he would fail. It seems most driving jobs, plant machinery
