When is a second ablation advisable?
I was dx with Paroxysmal Afib in 2018. After the usual regimen trials of just Metoprolol, Flecainide, Flecainide with Metoprolol for rate control, etc. I received a Cryoablation on March 16 of last year (2022). I had two afib episodes a month or so after the ablation which was explained as being in

Bisoprolol and low heart rate
As my heart palpitations were becoming unbearable, I finally agreed to try bisoprolol, just 1,25mg daily. Well, the good news is that the palpitations and the breathlessness have almost gone . The bad news is that my resting heart rate is down to 45 in the afternoon, going up to 58 when I'm active.

Should I lower flecainide dose to 1X per day instead of twice a day.
I have both a cardiologist and electrophysiologist since my first episode almost five months ago. I have lost twelve pounds and almost to my BMI weight recommended by the cardiologist. I had the Nuclear Stress test in my Cardiologist office because they had the convenience of taking he Lexiscan sitting

Drop in BP
I am wondering if any of you afibbers have had extreme drops in your blood pressure when you are in afib or even when you are not in atrial fibrillation ? For the past 24 hours I’ve been in and out of NSR , mostly out. After a rather busy day, I got home unloaded a plant from my car, walked to backyard

Nuclear Stress Test in Chair was so easy.
Had the Nuclear Stress test in the apparatus similar to a dentist chair. It was a Lexi Scan with injection but did not have to lay flat and was less than half the time of the round donut looking machine. My cardiologist did not have the newer technology he wrote me a referral to go to a cardiologist

Arrhythmia anxieties pre-cardioversion
Hi everyone, just looking for others' experiences and reassurance. Since having open heart surgery 12 weeks ago to correct a hole in my heart (diagnosed out of the blue at Christmas), I have been in arrhythmia for about 6 weeks. I had 48 hours on a holter monitor and this showed atrial flutter. I was

Can Anyone On This Forum Please Explain
I just got back a little ago from a few hours visit at my local VA Hospital. While I was there I went into AFIB and had an ekg done. Treating PVCS on a virtual ward
I have posted on here a number of times about the burden of persistent PVCs. Anyway, after 5 days of feeling very dizzy and nauseous, I went to see my GP. Surgical Castration ?
I have been on Eligard for two months. Prior to starting ADT my Triglycerides were 100 (May 2023). After only two months of Eligard they are thru the roof (495). Since I have metastatic PC they tell me that I will be on ADT for life. I am considering surgical orchiectomy since there are fewer metabolic

Heart rates in Afib and NSR
When I was on Sotalol for paroxysmal Afib my heart rate was typically in the range 70 to 125 when in Afib and 60 to 75 in NSR, as measured on my Kardia. For the last month I have been on Flecainide and Verapamil. There now seems to little difference between Afib and NSR heart rates both being in the

Happy New Year.......
.......when it comes. I say that because there's still time to keel over before it comes. 😂. Seriously though, the new year in Scotland used to be a memorable time. You were welcome in anyone's house even if you didn't know them, there was always plenty food to eat, dreadful singing but there was always

BNP levels raised....update......well, not really!
You may recall my post a few weeks ago about this. My Face to Face appointment turned out to merely be for my GP to listen to my chest, which incidentally is clear...no wheezing etc., and to ask me a few questions. She did agree to chase up my overdue echocardiogram and get me moved " further up the
