HAIR dropping
Hi I had another craniotomy (different years) but this last one is making my hair drop quite a lot. Even my eye lashes are coming out noticeably. Is it the norm to have hair loss after a craniotomy all over. I realise there is some hair loss where the op was but l didn't expect it elsewhere. Can anyone

Is it safe for Long haul flight from Vietnam to uk 3 weeks post craniotomy with skull flap removed ?
Following emergency craniotomy for severe bleed on brain following accident ,the Dr's here say my son is fit to fly home via commercial carrier . It has only been 3 weeks . Is this too soon? Insurance medical team disagree and are only concerned with his ability to sit and stand , no mention of potential

Melanoma Brain mets in 2013
So I consider myself as a Melanoma Survivor. My diagnosis was in late 2012, and it shortly thereafter metastasized into 4 visible tumors in my brain. I received Whole Brain and Gamma Knife treatments, followed 3.5 years later by a second round of Gamma Knife Surgery (GKS) and Keytruda immunotherapy

Titanium Mesh Plate
Hello all. I’m new to the site so still trying to learn my way around. I had a craniotomy 7 weeks ago to remove a benign tumor from my skull. That part of my skull was replaced with a titanium mesh plate. The surgery went great and my recovery has been good. The only “issue” I’m having is worrying over

Living after Aneurysm
I had a craniotomy for a aneurysm clipping in 2007 and have never been the same since then. Over the years I have been developing multiple "medical issues" that are unexplainable and I am starting to feel like my family and even some doctors are beginning to look at me like a hypochondriac. I've been

Cranioplasty
I wondered if anyone on here had experienced Cranioplasty and replacing missing bone flap with a prosthetic plate at all. I have been offered cranioplasty after my bone had to be removed (became infected and died) after having a Craniotomy to clip an aneurysm at M1 in my brain. I have been told

Anger and relationship
Hi group, I've been lurking for a while and finding the viewpoints of both carers and people who're living with a bi very helpful. You've saved my sanity sometimes, so thank you! My OH had a cerebellar hemorrhage and craniotomy with complications two and a half years ago, and was in hospital for 3 months

Bone or plate
Has anyone had to have the bone removed after a craniotomy and replaced with plate. I'm 3 weeks in and they've told me the bone hadn't taken and will have to be removed so two further operations. Has anyone else had this done. Slightly gutted that operations are gonna last up till roughly November
