Wondered if anyone on here about two years post surgery. I had a planned craniotomy no bleed no stroke but feel exhausted still. Will this ever go away. They have discharged me saying I'm 100% back do normal but I don't feel like the old me at all. Feel like everyone is treating me impatiently

Postponed for now
So an update about Ryan, The craniotomy had to be postponed. His red blood cell counts tanked for unknown reasons unfortunately. We are currently looking for a GI bleed. We did an endoscopy that turned up clean and normal. But his RBC has continued to drop. He got 2 full bags of condensed RBCs for a

Ryan update
It’s been interesting these last few weeks.. month I should say. Ryan is doing well. Staying on 2mg steroid 3 times a day to keep the swelling and symptoms at bay. We met the neurosurgeon today, and he met with the Hopkins tumor board. They still agree on the radiation necrosis but again can never

Lots of lumps
Morning peeps 😊. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I am curious as to whether or not anyone has experienced what I’m currently experiencing and if it could have any relation to the lung cancer. I have developed 13 lumps/bumps on the back of my head...on the skull but under the skin. They’re in a cluster

Peripheral Nerve Surgeons for Decompression:
Luckylee Hope that helps out a bit... I am both a Provider & a Patient. I had a total of 18 compressed nerves, I’m counting 2 for pudendals (one on each side). I have had 3 major nerve decompression surgeries and quite a story to tell but my purpose is to get you in touch with the right people....

Gran mal to partial?
Has anyone had an experience where they have mostly (and I mean like, 90+% of the time) gran mal - tonic clonic seizures, and then switch to having more partial? Our story might be different.. but my boyfriend has seizures due to a craniotomy he had in his left temporal lobe.. and almost all of them

Back pain/Leg and foot numbness
Hi, I had a craniotomy last April and went back to work in October. About 3 months ago I started getting pain in my back and ignored it. The pain got worse and started affecting my right leg. I went to my GP who 5 weeks ago told me it was sciatica, gave me amitriptaline and codeine, organised an mri

Burr hole victim lol
Well I was recently attacked by a tenant of mine on the day he got evicted. Even the cops can't seem to figure out what he used to hit me on the back of the head. Whatever it was it did a lot of damage. So while he is on an assault and attempted murder charge. He ruptured blood vessels in my head which

Brain injury or not?
This may sound silly but im confused. I had a brain infection and needed a craniotomy to remove the build up of pus (subdural empyema). I dont think they touched my brain but obviously they cut my skull. I dont feel Im the same person any more. My anxiety and depression is terrible and i have daily headaches

'OPERATION LIVE' ON MY 5 CATCHUP.
I watched a fascinating programme on Thursday night this week (channel 5) in which surgery to clip an aneurism was broadcast live from the Royal London hospital. It was a 2 hour op. and showed every detail of the procedure from craniotomy right through to cranioplasty. It's not everyone's choice of viewing

Cranioplasty #2
Two year ago - Jan 2017- I received a PMMA 3D printed cranioplasty. The month before I had been hit by a motorbike while on a pedestrian crossing. I had an emergency craniotomy that day, my C5 was broken, I have left side hemianopia and had right side hemiparisis. 2017 was a year of recovery in which

About brain aneurysm
Hi, everyone. My father suffered from poor grade ruptured brain aneurysm last August 2018. Up to this day, he still is coming in and out of the hospital due to some complications. Does it really take long before a post craniotomy with clip and shunt be back to normal?

Officially on the second month, second bottle of mekinist. Still almost no side effects. The rash comes and goes. Never amounts to anything thank god. No fevers, had a few nights when he first started where he was close to 100.4 but never reached it. Seems like he is adjusting well to the combo. Pain

Returning to work
Hi everyone. I had a brain infection and had to have a craniotomy in April. I have been quite lucky that the original balance disturbance and short term memory loss has calmed down. Ive returned to work this week after almost 7 months off and although I am doing a phased return and only did 4 hours,

Life after Subdural. ESA and Open University
My partner had a traumatic brain injury 2 years ago - a Subdural followed by a craniotomy. He’s not been the same since, struggling mostly with his emotions and coping mechanisms of normal daily life. He returned to work for 5 months (he’s a nurse) but was so anxious and stressed by the whole thing they
